Jocelyndixon is hosting 2007 Holiday Bundle. There are lots of cool prizes. The deadline is December 8th. We are to write a post about a special memory.
I have so many special memories but I guess I have to pick just one :). The following is my entry:-
When my daughter was about 2 years old, for some time I babysat two kids at their house a few times a week. The mom picked my daughter and me up early each morning. One day while at their house, I read to the kids several books, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Later that day, when I was putting my daughter down for her nap, she was rubbing her eyes so I either said, "You must be sleepy." or asked her, "Are you sleepy?" She replied, "No, Mommy, I’m not ‘Sleepy’...I’m ‘Happy’." (she thought I was referring to one of the seven dwarfs) :) She has certainly been a happy child!
Edit: I've visited several people listed on Mr. Linky. It seems that everybody shared about a holiday memory. I thought we are to share about any special memory. Anyway, I will share another one :).
When my daughter was 8 years old, she made this card at Christmastime. Inside she wrote, "Thank You for giving us the Bible. I am glad You came to die for my sins. Thank You so much. Thank You for always answering my prayers. Thank You for giving me loving, caring Christian parents. Thank You for all the wonderful things You've given me. Thank You for all Your love for me." On the back of the card, she drew (in pencil) a picture of Jesus on the cross. I just love how she poured her heart into that special card for Jesus! Very precious to me :). |
