Seven Sisters Football Team Pictures
Posted on Oct. 14, 2009 in Funnies
I know you are thinking that these strange young ladies have just gotten stranger...but a few pictures should explain!
No, we are not joining or forming a real football team, but somewhere somehow (none of us are exactly football fans, so it's not like we collect pictures like this!) the three youngest of the seven sisters have seen football picture poses, and decided to do a few of their own!
Sisters are so much fun! Notice the padding that they put into their sleeves to make it them look more like "football shoulders" : D
Anna's football picture pose...

Rebekah's...

Charissa's picture. Um...I think that is a basketball, and a puny sized one at that. I think that it is the dog's basketball ...must not have been able to find a football anywhere!

I love this one!

Bekah in action : D

Charissa in action : )

Thanks for taking all these pictures, girls...you are so funny! I love you!

What do 11 people eat when supper has to be thrown away?
Posted on Oct. 10, 2009 in Funnies
Last night I made Broccoli Cheese Noodle soup and biscuits. It was all ready and on the table, and while I was waiting for everybody to come to the table (that can take awhile!), I dipped out the younger ones soup so it could be cooling off. After a few minutes of studying his soup, Noah said, "Susannah, there is a bug in here!" I didn't believe him, but after looking, I was convinced! Two little bugs that almost looked like ticks. ICK! So I scooped them out hoping that he wouldn't mind eating it anyways....but then, Cassia looked in the whole pot of soup. "Susannah, there are lots of bugs in here!" I thought, "Oh great! I hope I can scoop all of those out too!" But after looking in, I knew that supper was a goner. Lots of little black bugs were cooked out of the broccoli and rose to the top...for us to enjoy.
So, now what's for supper? We had hardly any leftovers, and it would take awhile to make something else (it was already 6:30). So we finally decided on breakfast burritos and egg and cheese biscuits. Twenty minutes later we were eating our strange supper....although we do sometimes eat breakfast for supper!
The soup (such as waste of ingredients!) was dumped out. I almost made broccoli cauliflower salad with the extra broccoli (before I knew it was bug infested). Good thing I didn't!!
So, if you are going to make something with fresh broccoli, swish it around in salt water first to get rid of the bugs. Or maybe, you don't want to know that they are there!

Candid Smile of the Day...
Posted on Oct. 8, 2009 in Funnies
We girls enjoy going to Candid Camera Online to see the video of the day, and today's is probably one of my favorites! Now I will warn you that the video of the day is not always good, so please know that we are endorsing this link only for today . Also, if you have any brothers around, you may want to know that in the first few seconds of the movie they show Candid Camera's host and hostess---and the hostess is not always the most modestly dressed lady!
So, with all my disclaimers said, here is the link for you to enjoy : D

Have You Ever Wondered...
Posted on Sep. 3, 2009 in Funnies
...What would happen if you added two cups of sugar to your biscuits instead of four tablespoons?

We found out tonight.
And had cookies with our soup instead of biscuits!
Maybe someday we'll do it on purpose when we're hungry for cookies

Maybe It Wasn't Such A Bright Idea.
Posted on Aug. 28, 2009 in Funnies
Wednesday I was making supper, and I needed to think of what to have for a vegetable. I decided on Caesar Salad, and I was thinking (out loud ;D ) "Too bad I don't have time to make croutons for it". The last few times when I have made croutons, I have the oven on around 200º and bake them for at least an hour, if not more. So, I thought if I put the oven on a higher temperature, maybe 400º or so, and check them more often, that it might work and we could have croutons with our salad!
Leah was teasing me that my croutons would be black, I just laughed it off and went to go start them.
I had them in the oven that's in the garage, and Isaiah had gone outside through the garage. I thought I smelled something burning, so after a little bit I went to go check on them.....this is what I saw when I opened up the oven door......plus lots of smoke.

It was pretty funny, especially since Leah said that they would be black! And black they were....I heard someone say that they were like coal. I hadn't checked on them as much as I had planned, so as you have probably guessed, we did not have croutons with our Caesar Salad.
It's a good thing ( well, maybe its not good, but for this it was good) we don't have a smoke detector in our garage....or else it would of been going off like crazy! Although if we did have one in the garage, and it was going off like crazy, we would probably have pulled the battery out. The garage smelled like burned something and it was filled with smoke for awhile. Poor Daddy, when he came home he looked in the oven ( who wouldn't when the garage is filled with smoke, and it smells like burned something, and it's coming from the oven! ). I hope he didn't lose his appetite at the sight of them!
Something else that was funny--while I was making supper (pizza), Jessica told me that it smelled like Fazoli's. Later when you could smell the burned croutons, she said "Cassia, it smells like Fazoli's on fire!"
So thus concludes my story!
