I started this blog a few months back and have yet to make an entry.   But seeing that we started school back I thought I would give it a whirl.  Ill start with a little about myself.  I am a mother of 5 children, 4 boys and one girl.  My daughter is 13 and my boys are 10, 6, 5, and almost 4.   I am married to my best friend and just love staying home with my kiddos.  Of course there are days when I wonder why, but I cant imagine doing it any other way.

Monday we started school back for the year.  We live in Arkansas and the summers here get so very hot.  We usually start school when the weather gets hot and end about April when the weather is "perfect".  This year I made a transition to a new curriculum.  We have started using Sonlight.  I just love it.  With Sonlight I can teach my oldest two together (with the exception of science and math) and my younger three together (except for math).  I had always used a smorgasboard of curriculum and put my own lessons together but with the younger three starting I knew I wouldnt have time for all this.

Our first week has gone very well.  Hopefully next week we will start falling into a better schedule.  Its always hard at first to balance schoolwork with everything else that needs to be done around the home.

Today I plan to catch up from the week, and enjoy my day with my kiddos just being MOM ! ! ! ! !
