Jan. 30, 2007 - Ahhhhhh! How Sweet!!
Today we've been busy moving our TV from upstairs to our downstairs den area. Since dh works from home three days a week, he's able to help me do this kind of thing while he has breaks in his work. It's such a blessing and a help to me to have him working from home!
Both girls were busy helping when they could and the rest of the time they were finishing up their school work for the day. Somewhere during that time, dd#2 found some free time and decided to be creative. She was very eager to show me what she had created but I told her she'd have to wait a few minutes before I could come to see it. She was disappointed, I could tell, but she waited patiently for me to finish helping dh with the TV. As soon as I was free, she led me upstairs and this is what I found waiting for me on the kitchen counter:
What a sweet message to find! I was thrilled....thrilled at her use of dominoes, thrilled that she had kept herself busy so that her big sister could finish her favorite Saxon Math, thrilled that she had been so creative in making the exclamation point at the end of the message (broken crayons and a ping pong ball), but most of all thrilled that she was thinking about me while she went about her daily routine. I can't express how special this is to me. This is a picture and a memory that I will treasure for the rest of my life. I am so thankful to the Lord for placing these children in the care of myself and my husband. We are so blessed to have such wonderful children!!
*Just for the record, dd#1 HATES her Saxon Math! LOL!*
