Sharity

These are the ramblings and scrap-blog of a happy homemaker and homeschool mama! I'm glad you've stopped by for a visit! My manly, man husband and I have been married for 10 years and have 2 all boy-boys - 9yo and 6yo. We have always homeschooled, focusing more on the HOME than school in these early years. We enjoy an eclectic mix of curriculums and resources - and of course learning from real life. Isaiah 54:13

Show & Tell Friday

Take Your Family To Work Day!

Today dh took us to the job site.  He is building a house and the foundation is due to be poured tomorrow so he needed to go check it out, so we rode out with him.  It has been delayed several days due to all the rain so he needed to make sure it was dry enough.

9yo and dh lookin' it over:

6yo always finds something to get into:

Here is a trash dumpster that the boys and dh built last week:

See, I was there too:

And here is Manly Man, the Boss Man:

Neat ! I remember that stage. lol We had to have 3 walls poured too b/c our house is set into the hill. Do your boys get to watch the cement trucks come and do their thing ? Neat for your boys. Will they get to work side by side with dad as they get older ? Thanks for sharing !!! This was fun.

God Bless my SSiC

Love your sunglasses! I need some new ones, so I have been noticing everyones. I bet the rain has delayed a lot of construction in Texas. I hope that has not put a strain on you all.

Aug. 3, 2007 - Great pics!

I do so enjoy S&Ts that share pics and short, snappy sentences. Thanks for sharing! How fun to go to work as a family--even if it's just for a visit. My kids loved it when their dad had to go over to the school during a break (he was a teacher--Ag, Forestry, shop, etc.) and they would run around the huge shop area and play while DH worked in his office. And I remember going to the high school with my dad and it was so mysterious, in a way. Good memories!

Cool! Our church foundation was just poured. I hope some of your rain comes our way!

Wow! I know the boys are enjoying that. So much cool Dirt, so much fun to play in too.
What a wonderful S&T today,

Very neat S&T, I guess I didn't realize how much works goes into a house foundation before the cement is to be poured.

That is neat that your "manly man" can build houses. How awesome. Has he built one for you yet?

Looks like a fun real-life lesson for the boys, learning many-man stuff with daddy! You can send me any of your extra rain, oh, and send some to Mary first, she has forest fires to contend with up there.
