IN ALL THINGS...

Sunday, April 15, 2007 - Where's Shari?

Okay, okay, the guilt of not posting has finally gotten to me. Here I am. I DO have good reasons for not posting in awhile...notice I said "reasons" and not "excuses". LOL

Not only have I felt like an octopus lately, but all 8 of my arms have been tugged and pulled in many directions! I referred to myself as Mrs. Incredible...or at least wished I was.

Where do I begin?

I am the director for our homeschool group and the end of the year is always a stressful time. This year however, I've been director and minister to several moms at once. Oh how I love to share God's word, please don't get me wrong, but I feel so taxed right now. One family whose husband has left his wife and four children, a mom who delivered their baby 4 days ago without her husband present...due to the fact that he has moved out and filed for divorce, an illness in a dear friend that has yet to be diagnosed, and another friend who is battling cancer. I'm not complaining. I love my fellow sisters and pray that this season would pass and His will be done. I am just at the tail end of my emotional wits.

I need a good day or two of quiet rest with God. This lends itself to great meaning of "Lord fill my cup". I am on empty. It is a blessing to be able to minister them. I pray my words of encouragement comfort each of them somehow. I thank God for allowing me the opportunity to show His love in this capacity. If any of the ladies I'd mentioned above come to mind, please pray for them.

Other happenings include getting Kate ready for Austria, graduation planning for our dd age 6, getting business in order to open our combined homeschooling and scrapbooking storefront  in May, finishing our school year, STARTING our homeschool's yearbook (I usually begin this in Feb!), finishing up our Voice of the Martyrs coloring book project, and planning our trip to CA. on June 1. whew. I can't wait to get some of these things off of my list! I had done so well at keeping our days clear and then I found myself having to get my daytimer out again! grrrrr Did I mention it's soccer season too???? And also that my 4 year old has decided she never wants to go out of the house???? oh my goodness...

My current writing projects have now moved from the back burner to the deep freeze! Are you beginning to see why I haven't posted? AAACK!

So how are all of you? I'm sure you've all been good little bloggers and kept up with your postings? eh?

I'm going blog hopping now to see....

Have a great day my friends!

Complete in Him,

Shari

And for those you mentioned. Thank God you are there for them and that He has blessed with the gift of encouragement. Stay focussed on Him and He will bring you all through this time with the great reward of drawing closer to Him and finding rest in Him.

Twin, you are Mrs. Incredible!!! I get weary just reading about all the areas you are stretched in.

I give you permission just to relax, have a tall glass of lemonade, and enjoy the family God has blessed you with. :)

Have a BLESSED DAY!!! ((Hugs))

Hoping that you keep up with everythign! Sounds pretty hectic! So how was having a twin? I have twin boys, but hardly see them as twins. They're 4 and are so different and with having 6 kids, they just seem like 2 kids among many who happen to be the same age. We used to live in MN, then we moved to near Superior, WI and now moved about an hour east from there.

Hi Shari, as usual, you always have your handful!
But I know you cannot let anything go, because you
have such passions and hearts for everybody.
I heard the news about mom with brand-new baby.
It's just so sad.
But yes, never forget to rest in His word and in His love.

BTW have you been to island cafe?
Maybe we can meet there sometimes to have
a cup of coffee and catch up!

It certainly sounds like you are a hub of activity! I pray that the Lord is able to minister through you to the families you are connected to, and that His light shines beyond the boundaries of our struggles to reach the world for His glory.

My life has been crazy too, and I have not been posting my blogs regularly either, not here NOR on MySpace my main site. At our Homeschool Mom's meeting this month though, one of the other Moms shared that blogging our children's scholastic achievements once a week can be a good way of managing reporting or record keeping (where the papers won't get lost!) especially for high school. So I may try using my blog here for that purpose, as I have not accomplished much with it otherwise. If I can find the time to post to it! Work on my game has accelerated tremendously, AND I have been invited to teach a class through a brand new online college. So I am developing my own curriculum for that as well. Just when I think I can't possibly handle any more, something else gets added to my plate. The Lord sure has a lot more confidence in me than I have in myself!

Blessings to you,

I did NOT post that as anonymous. I posted it as registered user (I even logged in specifically so that I could!) so I do not know what is up with this thing today. Maybe today is not my day for blogging.

Blessings to you,
-Sparkling
