Plea for a little easy help LOL
This is a sticky post for a few days so I can help a buddy. Scroll down for new daily entries. Thanks!!!
Hi Friends and Family,
I am writing to ask for a favor. Most of you helped me out last year and know how easy this is. Last year, my sister in law got teacher of the year. We all went in and voted for her and she won. I am back again asking for votes. Jackie's (the best sister in law in the world) best friend is up for the award this time. Her name is Michelle Pettus. I do know her personally. She is an awesome girl and teacher. Her husband is in law enforcement. They adopted children after having issues having babies on their own. They have pushed onward. I get to see them some when I'm home. This would be a great blessing for someone that is working so hard.
Now to the easy part. The vote. You don't have to even sign up for anything
2. Scroll down a little to the white Teacher of the Year box that has the apple jumping up and down in it and click on it.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the list. She is the 5th one from the bottom.
Michelle Pettus - 3rd Grade @ Crab Orchard Elementary
4. Click on the dot by her name, scroll down and click vote. That's it. This could be done daily if you have a minute. THANKS!!!
Thanks so much for yout help. I will probably have to ask one more time if they narrow it down. Your welcome to spread the word and get more votes if you want.
HUGS to all

Happy Friday and update on friends
Good Morning friends,
I hope your morning is going well. We have some running to do this morning. We are getting ready for our last weekend at the flea market for a while. It is wearing us all out. We will be taking a break and freshening up. I think we will go over on Saturday, every once in a while. That is enough.
As for the friends update, Tricia is now trach and pic/iv line free. This is a miracle in itself. As if that weren't enough, Gwyneth came off the feeding tube yesterday and is expected to go home next week possibly. WOW, God is good!!!
I don't know what plans we have for Mother's Day. My husband has mentioned it a few times. That in itself is funny. I can't wait to see him tonight. We may go eat or something. I don't really need anything and can't really think of anything that I want either. It is nice to be satisfied.
The one thing I need to do is figure out when we can go to Gatlinburg. I need to make some reservations. I think the boys and I will be there for part of the week and Paul will come when he can. I need to talk to him and find out. I wouldn't mind going in October or maybe September this time. Who know's?
Have a blessed day! HUGS!

Happy day
That is what it looks like here today. It is raining bunches. We do have to get out later and go for tutoring and do some running. That's always fun in the rain.
I thought we were going to have to go and help Jordan tomorrow. She is going to get it all done on her own. Yay. She is growing so much. She will be working in Bowling Green 2 days a week to keep her job. She will also get a job here at home. I am so proud of her.
I will be going to Bowling Green next Tuesday. That will be good, I can go to Sam's Club. I need to make a trip there. I will be taking a friend to take a US Mail test. You can say a prayer for my friend if don't mind. He needs to get his life together.
We are doing school right now. It is going good. I can not wait to be finished for a few days. Patrick's tutoring is going really well. I can see a difference and Bryan helps keep me accountable too. He has a great family too. So, going every week is a joy.
Better get going. We all need showers too. IT NEVER ENDS!!! LOLOL

What to do when your in a funk?

Give it to God and get better! I can't believe how hard these last few weeks have been. We are trying to make changes and adapt to our new life. Paul being gone has changed everything.
I think we are going to visit a friend in a bit. That is always a blessing. They have new farm animals and so we will get to see their new additions too. I also get some GOOD eggs. YAYYYYYY!!!
School is almost done and that will be a relief. I will still be taking Patrick for tutoring.
I don't know if any of you watch Dancing with the Stars but I'm hooked. I am so excited that Christian is still there. Let me know who you want to win.
Time to do the mommy thing. HUGS!

I have a question?
My family will be getting together on May 25 for a birthday party. I am wanting to find a place on the web that we can use as a family room. I want to store all the email addresses, have a place to leave notes and prayer requests and possibly a chat room. Do any of you have any ideas? I would love to have all the information available to them on the 25th. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Good Tuesday Morning
I got a nice call from Hubby this morning. He sounded rested and ready to go. I feel better when I know he feels good. I can't be there to take care of him, so I need to know that he is ok.
Today is going to be low key for us. We are just doing the daily. I would like to work on the trailer that we bought a while back. I think it would sell if it looked better. We will see how that goes.
We had a good trip to Glasgow last night. We even got home around 8:30. That was amazing. We got everything done and so it was a great trip. Shoney's isn't my favorite place to eat there. LOL Besides fast food and Mexican, there aren't any choices for a sit down good meal.
I am still blown away by last weekend. We ended up putting $175 in gas in 2 trucks in 2 days. I can't believe that. We really need to pray for our country and the election coming up. This country is sad right now.
I need to get some coffee. Better head that way. HUGS!!!

New week

Hi. It is Monday again. This was a hard weekend. We did the auction on Saturday and then did the flea market on Sunday. It was a long weekend. We got to spend more time with Paul yet it was so busy that I feel like I didn't see him. I miss him so much more than I can say. Last night was so hard. I had to say bye to him @7. He has been leaving in the night and then it seems easier. You would think that I would be better at this after 5 weeks. NOT!
We are playing catch up today. We always build up laundry and dishes over the weekend. I need to get our schedule straightened up. We haven't gotten used to the new way things are. We are going to Glasgow tonight with my friend Sylvia. That is always fun. Can't wait for that.
It is supposed to be nice here for a few days. I am excited about that. That has to make everyone feel better.
My boys stayed up way to late last night. I was in the chair and fell asleep. I told them to go to sleep around 10. I woke up at 12 and they were still up. GRRRRRRRR I growled big and they went to bed. Now, this morning they want to sleep in. See what I mean about schedules. My friend Kysha did an awesome schedule and posted it on May 3rd on her blog. I need to borrow her for a few days. Need to visit KY, Kysha?
Have a blessed day! HUGS!!!

Good Rainy morning to you.

That's what it looks like here. LOL I heard one bark a few minutes ago or that could have been Sam, our beagle.
We are trying to get up and get ready for the auction today. It will be a great change of pace. Please throw in a prayer that we get good deals and find things that people are requesting. We have a list. I am just going to be happy to spend the day with my honey.
Paul got home and took a shower and got in bed at 12:15 last night. It was so awesome to have him here. I am so proud of him. He is doing a great job. I know it is hard for him to be gone so much. He is a home body.
I just woke up Matthew to get a shower. He did the cutest dance when he got up. LOL I wasn't real sure where he was going to end up. It was funny.
I better get moving and get the guys moving. Have a best blessed day. HUGS!

FRIDAY!!! I so look forward to this day now.

Good Morning. I used to look forward to Monday and now, with Paul gone all week, it is Friday that I look for. He won't be back till late tonight. I'm guessing 1am or so.He is in PA right now. He did have a good week for miles. He amazes me. We will be able to go with him soon. That will be interesting.
We just have a few errands to run today. Mostly clean up day for dad. We like for it to look good here when he gets here. Of course, this is all after we get school done.
We have a wild weekend planned. We will be going to the auction on Saturday instead of the flea market. This will be my first auction in months. It will be a welcome break and something different. I'm kinda excited to see my buddies.
Gotta get the coffee. LOL HUGS

Good Morning

Hello good friends. I hope your day is starting out great. We have been really lazy this week. After the trip to TN on Monday, we haven't had a lot going on. I do have to get my car washed today. Hubby called from the road and requested that. I also need to pick up an application for the Emmaus walk. We won't be going to the flea market on Saturday. We will be going to the auction instead. It is hard to sell stuff when you run out. It will be a time to refurbish.
We have to mail something for ebay, go to tutoring for Patrick, wash the car and do the regular school and cleaning. Overall, our day is uneventful. I hope you all have an awesome day. I don't have a lot to say today. So, I will leave you with: HUGS.

The middle of the week alreay????

Good Morning,
I hope everyone is having a great week. We were a little yucky yesterday. I think we just had a bug. I hope things are better today. We have to go to town this morning.
I am waiting for Jordan to call me. She is out of school at the end of the week. I may have to go up and help her get all here stuff home. Paul is in Wisconsin. Way up north. I think he is coming back to KY today. We have some things to finish in school. Patrick will still be tutored each week, so he will continue to school some even this summer. Things are great there.
I am fixing to start reading the 3rd book in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. I liked the movie and wanted to read the books. The 2nd one was a little long. Normally, I just read christian fiction. Are any of you reading anything good? I would love to hear about it.
Hope you have a blessed day! HUGS

Weblink Wednesday

I went searching for a Math link. I found Cut The Knot. There are a lot of interactive math games and such. I was mind boggled by how much there is there. Hope that helps someone.

So blessed!

I just woke up feeling blessed today. I just got off the phone with hubby. He called to tell me he love me. He is such a blessing. He is somewhere up north and headed further up. I'm just glad he knows his way home.
We had a great time yesterday in TN. I got to spend time with my brother and sister in law. That was a blessing. We don't get a lot of time together. We ate at Ryan's Steak House. That was fun. We had a blast there. All I can say is dancing with no music. My lips are sealed. You won't get a water spigot out of me. LOLOLOL (Jackie will get that one) I will try to share more on that later. After lunch, we went back to their house and the kids played while me and Jason watched (napped on the couch) them. That was a major blessing! Around 3:45, I got all the big kids, my 2, cousins 3 and brothers 1 and we went to the movie. My cousin decided to meet us there. We watched Nim's island. It was a good movie. We all liked it. Clean, nice and funny. I was very happy with it and it turned out well. After the movie, Heather picked up some pizza and we all went to my Aunt's house, Janice's, to eat and just chat. The kids played a little more. It was overall a great day. We really enjoyed it and it was much needed.
Matt is feeling a little under the weather today. I think we all had a stomach bug to go thru. I still seem to have a touch of it. Hubby said he seemed to be doing better today. Oh well, that happens.
We are going to have a lazy day of school, cleaning and sitting. Yesterday was huge. I still have some pretty loud snoring going on here. I hope everyone has a terrific day. HUGS

Big Monday trip to TN

We are going to Tn this morning. We spending the day with all the cousins and my brother decicded to get in on the action too. I am so excited. I am feeling better this morning. I don't know what happened yesterday. By the time that we got home from the flea market, I ended up having to spend most of the night, staying in the bathroom. I don't know if we ate something or what. Paul's tummy was messed up too. Today is a new day and I haven't felt any cramps, so I am assuming it is gone.My honey left last night @11 for Chicago. I hate having to say bye to him. We did get his refrigerator in his truck, so that gives him bigger options when getting food to take with him to eat. That makes me feel better. I get sick of eating out. I can imagine that beanie weenies would get old too. Now, if we had a way for him to heat things. HMMMMMMM.We have had one horrible thing to happen lately. I haven't been able to talk about it till now. A week ago this past Saturday was the last time that anyone saw our dog, PUP DOG. I really feel bad about him being gone. We have no clue what happened to him. He is just gone. The other thing is that we had talked about it and he was getting to the point where he didn't want anyone around. We were dealing with that here. But, he was going to my inlaws garage and getting hateful there. That is a business and we were thinking that we might have to get rid of him because we can't take a chance on someone getting bit. I just hate not knowing what happened. It really breaks my heart. Even though he seemed so mean to everyone else, he was our baby. He still climbed in my lap when I sit down. I still look for him every time I pull in. I hope you all have a blessed day. It is going to rain off and on today. I know we are going somewhere to eat and we were thinking about a movie. I will report after we get back. HUGS

Happy Sunday to you

I hope your all having an awesome weekend. Mine is going great. We are about to get ready for the market this morning. We will probably shut down next weekend to go and get more stuff.
Hubby has to leave this evening. That stinks. That's the way it is. We do get to spend most of the day with him though. I figure take what time we can get and be happy. He will be able to let us ride with him soon. I think he has to be there for 3 months or something. We did pick up a frige for him, so that makes me feel better. He can do a few different things for food now.
I did get to cook a good supper last night. That is always a good thing. I like for him to have something homemade while he is here.
Tomorrow is TENNESSEE day. I am going to take my kids, cousins kids and brothers kids to play all day. That should be loads of fun.
Time to get moving. I hope you all have a blessed day. HUGS

Saturday, oh what a day.

I hope you are all having a great morning. Guess what?

This was me last night. My honey got home early. I was so happy to see him. He is losing some weight and he just looked so good. I thank God for a great man to spend my life with.
Guess what else? I get to leave in a few minutes to go to work at the flea market. LOL He is going to stay here and work and hopefully play some. He needs to take a break. I have an emmaus meeting tonight for a few minutes.
That about sums up our day today. I hope we do well at the market. I better get going that way. I didn't go at all last week.

Finally Friday

It looks like this all over outside. The Dogwoods are amazing.
I am so excited. HUBBY COMES HOME IN A LITTLE WHILE. I only got to see him for 10 minutes last weekend. We are finishing up a few things today. I may go and get gas since it seems to be going up dramatically by the minute. My friend called last night and wants to run to Walmart, so we may do that before hubby gets here. Mostly, I am just waiting to see him. We may be literally attached at the hip this weekend.
My friend Nancy noticed that yesterday's post was my 300th. WOW! I can't believe it has been long enough for me to post that much. I always wanted to do a journal and got lazy quick and quit. This is a lot more fun and it just seems easier. I'm so glad that Misti pushed me to do this by getting her a blog. LOL
My eye is going nuts this morning. It is watering and feels like something is in it. It seems to happen a couple of times a year. Today was the day.
I only had one person that mentioned Dry Land Fish. I assume you all know what they are. I am from TN and had NO CLUE. They are mushrooms that you find and cook.

They are only around in April and can be found better after a good rain. As for cooking, I was taught to soak them overnight in salt water. I then mix flour and corn meal, roll them in it and fry them. Kinda like chicken. They have a really good taste and people here go nuts for them. They can sell for up to $45 a gallon.
There you have it, life in KY. I better get off here and get moving. Hey, give someone else a hug today. Here's yours. HUGS

What a beautiful Day???

God has been giving us some awesome weather here in KY. It seems more like summer here. We are having to watch close for ticks. They are already wild around here. I am amazed by how fast everything just popped out.
We are still just finishing up school and cleaning in here. Nothing major going on. The only thing that we can do for Paul is make sure the place looks good when he gets here. That makes him feel good. I also try to fix him home cooked meals while he is here. I know he gets sick of eating out. YUCK!
I have a couple of gingerbread houses that we haven't put together yet. We may do that today too. My guys are wanting to spend too much time on the computer and I want them away. That is one idea and walking is another.
I just got an invitation to a birthday party. My Uncle JOE is turning 80. We are going there the Sunday before Memorial Day. I am excited about that. A lot of my family will be there that I haven't seen in a long time. We are all so spread out and scattered.
I also need to start thinking about the big birthday bash for this year. I think most of you know that our boys were born the same day, one year apart. We try to have a huge cookout or something. Last year, we went to Florida for a week. I know that is out of the question this year. Paul just started a job, so he doesn't get a vacation for a bit. Hmmmmmm, I need to think on this one.
I hope you all have a best blessed Thursday. HUGS,

Happy Middle of the Week

I thought this was a fitting Good Morning since I was rudely awakened by 2 of our male cats this morning. They were having an arguement. I stayed up for a while then napped again. They are friends again now.
We don't have a huge day planned. We are going to do school, clean in the house, order parts for an engine,go to church and try to find parts for a chainsaw. That is our day. Nothing major except the cleaning. I want this place to look good for when dad comes home on Friday night. I miss him so much. We talk a lot on the phone, so that is a good thing. It still isn't the same as seeing him in person. We are handling it well. I think that because we do like each other so much and trust each other, it is easier. My biggest thoughts are prayers for safety. You never know about other people. He is a good driver and I pray that he stays alert and able to handle situations.
I was wondering something. Have any of you heard of DRY LAND FISH? I would love for you to leave me a comment. I want to see who knows what they are. I had NO idea till I moved to KY about 16 years ago. We have been hunting them here and there are a lot around this year. BIG ones too. I will tell you what they are and try to share a picture at the end of the week. I will also let you in on how they are cooked. This is a real question and not a joke. PROMISE
I have visited some of the bloggy giveaways. You all should go and visit too. It is always great to get something for free. I didn't realize it was so soon. I would have joined in. I had been preparing for the walk last weekend and forgot everything else. Just click here to go and see what is being given away.
As always, I hope you all have a best blessed day, filled with joy and laughter. You do know that laughter is a medicine. Don't you? So if you do feel bad, find something to laugh about.
