Long Lost and Hopefully Not Forgotten

I thought I would just check in this morning.  I haven't posted in a long time.  I haven't been feeling good lately but that wasn't an excuse for before.  I just really didn't feel like I had anything good to blog about.  Good things have happened, I just didn't feel like putting it all down.  I don't know how much I will be around but I would like to try to come in and do something.  I really spend a lot of time at Facebook now too.  It is just so easy.  Oh well, we will see what happens.

I am working on it

Myspace Comments

Is this not just so true of God's love in us?  I know that a lot of people will get all mushy on Valentines Day and use this another way but it sure does mean a lot when you think of it in God's light.

I just wanted to let you know that I am working on a big post.  It will hopefully be done this afternoon.  Just a warning....

Have a blessed day!  HUGS!

Fireproof

We just got to sit down together and watch this movie.  With Paul being a truck driver, it just didn't work out to go to the movies.  I had pre-ordered and paid for it around Christmas.  It was in stores on Jan. 27th.  We didn't get to go and pick it up till last Saturday.  By the time we went and got it and did everything else that goes with going somewhere, it was 11 o'clock when we got home and church was a must the next morning.  So, we didn't get to watch it.  Well, Paul got to come by the house tonight and he was early enough that I had dinner fixed and the movie was ready.  Our sons watched it with us too.  Oh my goodness, it was awesome.  I loved it.  I can so see this happening.  I know that my husband and I were at the breaking point like they were at one time.  Neither of us ever got the papers but we sure didn't like each other.  We did a thing called Marriage Encounter.  We also found a few other resources and MOST of all, we let God into the marriage.  Up until then, we had been doing it ourselves.  THANK GOD, He was still willing to come in.  I hope you have all watched this movie.  I will be passing it around starting Sunday.  I also just ordered the Love Dare from ebay.  We are more in love and like now than ever.  It just never hurts to do more to make it great.

There are a lot of marriages that are under attack right now.  Ones that we know about and some that are under hidden attack.  Please stop now and say a prayer for marriages.  It is a good thing to have a partner.  I just wish we could share the truth about how awesome it is and really get people to listen.  Oh wait, we can....we can have a Godly marriage and let people see it.  Wow, God thought of everything.

Good Cold Morning to you

I just thought this was a neat graphic. I haven't been out much in a couple of days, so I didn't have any pictures to share.  We are supposed to be up toward 60* for the next few days.  I might be able to go out in that.  It says that the temp has risen to 21* as opposed to the 10* it was when I first turned on the computer.  I still feel like their is a chill in the air, even in the house.

We are doing school today and will probably have to go get milk at some point.  We will be out in a little while.  I am amazed at how pretty it is today.  Well, I better get moving.

Have a blessed day.  HUGS!

A Game Of Hope

I borrowed this from Bart from Mercy Me and he got it from NBC/Dallas Fort Worth.  It is worth the time to watch it.  It blessed my heart.  If you haven't visited the Mercy Me Blog, you are missing a blessing.  Those guys are so real and just wonderful guys.  Not to mention their wives and families.  If you can, jump over there and visit.  Go Here.

Not often you get to see "GOOD" news.  Anyone that is a christian has gotten a second chance.  I love this video.

Have a blessed day!  HUGS!

Trip to the Vet turned field trip

We took Bob to the vet this morning. So, since we were out anyway, we went ahead and looked at all the animals. Thus, the field trip.

Bob got a great check up and he was so good. The vet said he was unlike any Chihuahua he had ever seen. He is the most awesome dog ever. It is like he was just meant for our family. I can't believe it. Paul even asks about him on the phone like he does me, Matt and Pat. Well, now we have to get to work doing some school book work, not to mentions dishes and clothes and all that stuff.

Have a best blessed day!!! HUGS!!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

This is the view from our door, right now.  How awesome is that?  I love snow.

I have good news too.  Bart's (Mercy Me singer) daughter Sophie is doing much better.  Please continue to pray.  She is still in the hospital.  You can go here to read the report.  That is a great praise for today.

I thought I would throw in a bonus Bob pic.

He is just so "DOG GONE" cute.

Have a blessed day.  HUGS!!

The beauty we woke up to this morning

This is pictures from our door this morning.  I thought it was beautiful.  The good part was that it seemed all the ice was on the trees and not on the roads so much.

and one final pic.  This little guy was making lots of noise out there.  A few minutes later, there were about 10 of them and a red bird.

Even with the ice, you can't deny the beauty of God.  Kentucky is a different kind of place to live.  Our weather is wild here.  One day last week, we were freezing then the next day, it was in the 60's and now this.  You just never know.  I have figured out how to tell the weather.  Send Bob out:

*if you see his shadow, the sun is shining

*if he gets wet, it is raining

*if his hair starts moving, the wind is blowing

and if he bucks up and won't go outside, then refer back to the pictures above.

We did something odd today.  Normally, we do school, even when public school gets snow days.  Well, guess what???  We took a snow day today and just bummed around.  IT FELT GOOD.  I didn't even think twice.

My honey gets to come home and spend the night tonight.  That is always an awesome treat.  He will be leaving in the morning for Alabama.  We need to "tidy" up a bit lot before he gets home.  (Remember the above statement about the snow day)  Have a best blessed night.  HUGS!

Bump: Prayer for a friends baby

Sophie got worse last night and they are moving her to ICU.  Please join with me and others to pray.  This has to be tearing this mom and dad up.  It is horrible when your baby is sick and you can do nothing.  GOD can do all things.

Hey friends,

I just wanted to ask all of you to pray for a friends baby.  Most of you have heard of Mercy Me.  The lead singer, Bart has a very sick baby.  Her name is Sophie.  They have said pneumonia and RSV.  That is not a good thing.  So, I am asking you to pray for Sophie, Bart and the rest of the family.  This year has had a rough start medically for this family.  Shannon (Bart's wife) and Sam (oldest son) have both had medical issues.  Thanks for your prayers.  If you want to go visit the Mercy Me blog and let them know your thinking of them, you can go here.  I know he would be happy to have any and all prayers.  This is an awesome group and an awesome group of families.

You are more than welcome to pass this on.  Prayer is awesome.

What's your word?

Your Word is "Love"
You see life as possibility to form deep connections with a few people.
Relationships are the center of your world, and you always take time to bond with those you love.

You are caring and giving. You enjoy helping those you love.
And when it comes to romantic love, you feel passionately ... even in a very long term relationship.

Let me know if you do this.  Thought it was cute.  I love it that my word is love.  How cool is that?

New week and great reminder

Myspace Comments

What a mouthful!!!  I think that becomes more so as we mature.  I found this and had to put it on here.  It is always a great reminder.  I have to say that God is the best in my life and then Paul, Matt, Pat and Bob.  I am so blessed.  It is awesome to know that God always has a plan for us.

I am a little broken hearted today.  I talked to a few people last week and got some bad news about a few marriages.  A couple of friends marriages are split up right now.  That breaks my heart.  I love being married to Paul.  Yes, we have great days and days that aren't the greatest.  I just can't imagine not being married to him.  We did have days that were really bad.  I really believed at one time that we might not make it.  God had a better plan.  THANK YOU GOD!!!  I just believe now that marriages and families are really being tested and in a lot of cases, they are torn apart.  The family is being told by the world that it is better to be individuals than to be a family.  That is so NOT RIGHT!!!  I am just praying that God will intervene in the 2 situations that I know of from last week.  I pray also that God will use us in any way He wants to in order to make a difference for Godly wonderful marriage and family.  Being part of a marriage and having a family is truly a blessing.  (even when your son is practicing his guitar)

We are going to youth group tonight.  WOOHOO!!!  We are all excited.  Matt is TORN UP (Misti) about getting to learn more guitar and possibly play on the worship team.  I think it is awesome for kids to have something to do.  We haven't done many sports here because of the way they are handled.  So this opportunity is something I have been looking forward to since our Youth Pastor left the church we used to go to.  Of course, I will be right there with our boys and not just throwing them in there.  This is so exciting to me.  I really like the youth leaders at our new church as well.  I am also hoping to meet with the Pastors wife and get to know her a bit better this week.  She is a blast.  I can't wait to get more involved and see what God has in store.  GO GOD!

Well, I better get going and do something.  LOL  Have a blessed day!  HUGS!!!

Wonderful Sunday

We have had a great Sunday.  Church was really good this morning.  We just started going to another church.  It is different and it takes some getting used to.  Today just seemed to be better.  As we were singing Greater is He that is in me, God spoke to me.  He said that He isn't JUST greater during the BIG HUGE things, He is greater in me all the time.  HELLO!!!  Did you hear that???  He is greater in us all the time.  He is greater in us even in the little bitty things, in the day to day things and ALL the time.  I know that some of you may know that and I know it too.  However, I need to be reminded sometimes of things and this was an awesome reminder.  I felt like the picture above.  Like Jesus was giving me a hug.  That is an awesome feeling.

We are going to be going back to church in a bit.  It starts at 6.  We have to leave about 30 minutes early to get there.  On the way, we pass a road with a sign for a lady's beauty shop.  Her name is Pat.  (I don't know this lady)  That is really kinda neat too because my mom was Pat and she was a beautician.  It just is a reminder of my mom.  She passed away 13 years ago.  She was a really cool mom.  Somedays it is nice to just sit and think of her.  I can't imagine how she would be if she were here right now.  She would spend 1/2 her time with me and the other 1/2 with my brother Jason.  Our 5 kids would be completely rotten and she would be smiling.  Her little innocent but yet GUILTY smile.  (I can just see it in my mind right now.)  Thank God for memories and reminders.

Time to watch a show with our oldest, Matt.  He is a real blessing.  All 4 of my guys are.  Paul, Matt, Pat and Bob.  I am so blessed.

Have a great rest of your Sunday.  HUGS!

The Weekend

Glitter Graphics

I could be having a bad day.  I am a little not happy that Paul is still out driving.  I want to spend as much time with him as possible.  He is headed this way.  I just got off the phone with him and he should be here by @ 5pm.  I told him that I'm not really happy about not waking up with him this morning but I don't want to ruin his day by being upset.  So, we are just going to chat on the phone many times today till he gets here and then I will hug him bunches.

The boys and I are going to clean on the house.  We need to eat and probably just mess around waiting for dad.  I do need to call and make an appointment to have our taxes done.  What a busy day?

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend.  I can't wait for church tomorrow.  Be blessed!  HUGS!

It's the weekend! Woohoo!!!

Posted in Family

It is Friday.  That means 2 things.  First, we have to take the garbage off.  Second and best of all, Paul gets to come home today.  We actually got to have him home one night this week.  That is always a blessing.  He was home with us for 7 months.  Weekends really just blended in with the rest of the week.  Now, we look forward to having Dad home and it is a neat time for us.

We are going to do school today and clean on the house a little.  Nothing big planned.  I am trying to think of what to do for Valentines Day.  Paul will be home since it will be on Saturday this year.  I want to do something neat.  So, my brain is kicked in and I am thinking.

Well, time to get the coffee.  I like to make it, let it set and get hotter before I drink it.  I know that sounds crazy.  I guess that is one of my little quirks.  I always eat my fries first before my sandwich too.   I guess we all have those little things we do.

Have a blessed day!  HUGS!

Fun in the sun but the LAKE is frozen

We started our day a little different.  I had to take Paul to his truck this morning.  He started the truck, jumped back in the car an said let's go check out the lake.  The boys were still snoozing.  We discovered a frozen wonderland.  So, I dropped Paul off at his truck and came home to wake the boys.  They loved it as you can see in the pictures.  We had a blast!  That was so worth getting up and getting out in the cold.  I feel so good after going and enjoying what God made for us.  I feel refreshed.  Thanks Paul for an awesome idea.

We are doing school today and just messing around.  I don't think we have any big plans for a day or so.  We will be staying home and enjoying life at the house.  That is a good thing.

By the way, I consider myself a professional mouser now.  We apparently have been chosen to be the mouse house this year.  I have proclaimed war and am taking back my home.  I am proud to say that we actually caught Grandpa mouse.  That was a blessing.  The only thing is that I didn't know they could be loud.  We caught one the other night and it screamed and woke me up.  That was horrible.  I am just thankful to God for peanut butter and mouse traps.  (I know that Carrie will appreciate this.)  I guess that is one of the joys of living in the country.

Have a blessed day!!!  HUGS!

Questions???

MySpace Comments
I have questions.  Most anyone that reads this blog knows that we got the very best Christmas present ever this year.   BOB!  He is awesome.  He's part Chihuahua and part Pomeranian.  I love this dog.  He makes me so happy.  He is really cute too.  Now, after all that, I have questions to any of you that have indoor dogs.  How often do you bathe them?  What kind of shampoo?  What do you do to keep them from having fleas?  Any other suggestions or good advice?  I just want to go ahead and start getting prepared for warmer weather.  You can tell where my mind is.
We did really well with school today.  It was over before I knew we started it.  I love days like that.  It just happened and was so smooth and easy.
We had to go and run errands today.  It just didn't happen yesterday.  Paul's check was late getting in, so we had to do it all today.  That worked out fine.
We did have one boo boo today.  Matt forgot to put the gas cap on after he filled the car up.  It fell off and ended up getting mashed to a million pieces.  So, I don't have a new car but I do have a new gas cap.  How cool is that????
Well, we are having a very late dinner tonight.  I guess I need to finish up.  Have a great night.  Hugs!

Happy Martin Luther King Day

JellyMuffin.com - The place for profile layouts, flash generators, glitter graphics, backgrounds and codes
We were blessed to wake up this morning with snow.  I love snow.  It is so beautiful.  It isn't the kind of snow that causes lots of problems.  This one is a pretty snow.  We are supposed to go to the next town over and get Pauls check today and the snow doesn't look like it will interupt anything, so I say Let It Snow.  WOOOOHOOOO!!!  The dog has really cracked me up in the snow.  He just stood out there first and looked at it like what is going on.  Then, he ran like a wild man.  You have to know that he is only 5.2 pounds so even a little snow is a lot for him.  He keeps us laughing.  He was a much needed great addition to our home.  I can't imagine not having him.  He is a blessing.
We are going to do school today and then try to go take care of all the bank business.  We are just now fixing something to eat.  It's about time.  LOL  I am starving.
Have a best blessed day!!! HUGS!

When momma's sick, things just aren't the same

My oldest son was nice enough to share his lovely cold.  I have been sick for 3 days now.  YUCK!!!  I now have some medicine and am praying that this clears it up and keeps me from getting sinusitis.  That is what usually happens.

We  are trying to have a normal school day.  Seems like no one here is motivated.  I hope we start turning that around today.

Paul got to come by the house last night.  That was a blessing.  It always helps to see him.

Have a blessed day.

About me

I am a happy wife and mom to 2 boys that were born the same day, one year apart. I love my life here in KY even if I can't get milk late at night. Things are changing dramatically in our life and we are waiting on God right now to show us which way to go. God is so good.
