It's ....... FRIDAY!!
My days around here get so mixed up. I think it is that way with a lot of homeschoolers. They are all good and it really doesn't matter which day it really is. I hear so many people that look forward to Friday and dread Monday. I just think that every day is awesome.
Speaking of great, we had our Christmas Homeschool Group Mom's Tea last night. We aren't a large group. We only had 7 people that showed up. It was so nice. We just sat around and chatted and ate. The conversation was good. One of our ladies brought a craft for us to do. It was really neat. I just thought it was a great time to get together and share with each other. We didn't have to work hard or put on a big production, we just had us and it was good. I really enjoyed it.
It is 34 degrees here and wet. It doesn't really look cold. It looks like we may have a good chance of snow tomorrow. I don't know about you all, but I love snow. It would be awesome to get some snow. We really don't get to see a lot. We didn't get to see any last week in the Smoky Mtns either. That was crazy and odd.
I would love to hear from any of you homeschoolers that use Math U See. I am considering this curriculum and have NO ideas about it. It was brought up last night and I want to know what others that actually use it think. Please comment or email me and let me know the good, bad and anything else that would help me make a decision. THANK YOU in advance.
I just want to also take a minute this morning to say a prayer for all the folks in blogland this morning. We are coming into a season that is happy and sad. A lot of people have a rough time with this time of year. I am praying for you. My prayer is that the past can be in the past and you can have joy in the present. Today is the day that the LORD has made, He wants you to be free to rejoice in it. Just start with a small whistle or hum and build up. God bless each of you and have a best blessed day.
HUGS!

I am fairly new to the blog world. Yes Christmas can be a difficult time. We thought that until last week when we had a young man crash into our lawn hitting our car and almost hitting our house, he was intoxicated. After that we find ourselves praising God for everything we have, small house (I was always complaining that it was too small, needs a lot of work ect.) But the reality that the young man could of hit our house woke us up and made us thankful for a house at all. Also not getting down in the dumps for things we do not have or can't provide.
I've been looking at Math U See also. I'd be interested in hearing what others have to say. I pray you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!! I too LOVE the snow. I better, we live in Western NY.

Hi Christy,
Thanks for stopping by and encouraging me with your prayers. You are so precious. I haven't had a lot of time to blog with all the Christmas parties, preparations, and work. It's really sad b/c we have been to 3 Christmas parties so far and Christ hasn't been in any of them. People just don't get it! Christ is definitely going to be the guest of honor at our house for Christmas. I can't wait! Glad you had a good time of fellowship with your HS group. Hope you have a great week.
Love ya,
Lori
