I just love this scene.  I wish it said Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays. 

We have gotten a lot done today.  We still have science to do and we are finished.  I do have to say that we had to unload a trailer this morning too.  We have worked hard. 

I have talked about changing our language arts to Total Language Plus.  We love it.  I am waiting for Math U See to come in the mail.  We did finish up the last part of the last pace in Math in our ACE curriculum.  So, that is done and we will have about a week to break from math.  NOT!!!  I will do a few review worksheets.  I am currently using www.enchantedlearning.com to do Science and Geography/Social Studies.  This is an awesome website.  We are taking a state a day, discussing various things about and then answering questions about it.  We are starting out simple and when we get through each one, we will go back and be more detailed.  I plan on side tracking on the 2nd go around to wars, sites to see, odd laws and other things we come up with.  I may even ask nicely for some of you to send post cards from your state, so we can collect them.  I am also using www.enchantedlearning.com for our Science right now.  We are going to be dealing in Astronomy.  They have a lot of things that you can use.  I am amazed.  I have known about this site for a long time and used it some.  Now, that I have started digging, it is just too cool.  I will be using other sites and books for more information as well.  I just can't believe that for $20 I can almost have a curriculum.  A lot of the stuff on the site is elementary.  I think that if we print simple solar system papers and then fill it in ourselves, it will be so much better than getting something that just looks overwhelming. We can have fun with it and learn a lot.  I found things that I didn't know on there this morning, while poking around. 

I am so excited about school.  We have been in slump, since returning home to our same stuff.  We were pushing through it but really didn't want to.  It is so much better to be able to have fun with it a little and learn at the same time. 

I was hoping to get finished, put some things on Ebay and then do some decorating.  I feel so bad.  We haven't decorated at all.  I feel like we should do a little something.  I hope that maybe tonight we can do a little something.  Just make it a little festive.  We will have to unload more things when hubby gets back.  Paul and his dad went to get the things that we bought at the auction on Sat. night.  We got a lot of good deals.  I can't wait to get into all of it. 

Break time is up.  Better get back on it.
