Hubby got to spend the night with us last night.  It was a surprise visit.  He has to go to Lakeland, FL today and won't be home till Sat. sometime.  He had a rough start to the week.  Didn't get many miles in.  This will make up for that. 

I am going to cut his hair in a few minutes and then get the rest of us started on the day.  Woohoo!!!  Today is Thursday, so we will be going to Columbia for tutoring.  Patrick is reading to me each night and it is amazing to see his progress.  He is doing an awesome job.  This has been a real life saver to find someone to help us get him going.  I can see a confidence in him that wasn't there before.  I say it is a God thing.

I need to finish my tea (I found Lemon Zinger in our town!!!).  I just really want to sit here for a few but duty calls.  Isn't it great to be a WIFE and MOM!!!

It has been crazy busy here.  We set up and sold stuff all weekend.  That went pretty good.  We ended up not seeing Paul till Saturday afternoon and then had to send him back out on Sunday afternoon.  I don't like that.  It was hard.  We went to church on Sunday morning and then he had to do some paper work, so we really didn't get to see much of him on Sunday.  He is in IL tonight and will be able to sleep till in the morning.  That makes me feel better.  He didn't get any sleep last night.  He is amazing to me.  I am so proud of him.

Both of the boys had goof ups today.  Matt got a burn on his leg and Patrick did a flip and hurt his ribs.  I can't imagine having anything but boys.  I called and they were like Mom, we got hurt but don't get excited.  LOL  You just gotta love the guys.  LOL  They handled it all really well.  Poppy was watching them and he took them both to his house and turned on the tv after the accidents.  I guess he figured they were safer inside.

I had jury duty today.  I got chosen to be on the jury too.  It was truly interesting.  I have never done anything like it before.  We listened all day long and ended with both cases being NOT GUILTY.  We unanimously decided that there was not enough evidence to convict the 2 gentlemen.  It was a great learning experience.  Lawyers totally amaze me.  They are so funny.  I cracked up a few times today.  I have to go back on Monday.  Here you have to serve for 6 months at a time.  These 2 cases seemed easy.  I hope I don't have to hear any hard ones.

I had a good day yesterday.  It was laid back and that was awesome.  We went out to eat with my inlaws last night.  That was really good and then stayed at their house and watched tv for a bit.  You know a boring mom birthday.  LOL  Loved it.

Hubby is in Columbus, OH.  He worked hard all night.   I did miss him.  I can't believe how hard he works for us.  He is awesome.

We are on the lookout for a new dog.  We are currently dogless.  That is just unimaginable.  I want to take time and get the right one for us.  I pray that God will help us with this and match us up well.  We still have 5 cats and 3 new baby kittens.  So, whatever we get has to get along with the cats.  I am kinda thinking smaller but we will see.  I will take pics and post them when we find the right one for us.  I will take pics of the kittens soon too.

They had a great time.  I was impressed with them and how well they got along.

I'm 40 today.  It seems like a dream.  My life is awesome.  I have a terrific hubby and 2 great kids.  I just have to THANK GOD today for a dream come true.  I can't imagine being any more blessed.  I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up.  God made the dream come true by making me a wife and mom.  He knew all along what was best for me.  I am excited about being 40 and going further.  Life is a great thing.  We just got our first look at our baby kittens yesterday and it reinforced how awesome life truly is.  THANK YOU LORD!!!  now, time to stake the tomatoes, do laundry and clean  LOL

I was sleeping so soundly when the phone rang.  It was hubby saying good morning.  He is such a blessing.  He's in PA this morning.  He is going to get a load of steel and headed back to KY. 

I am supposed to be waking up, making coffee and getting ready to stake tomatoes.  I just can't seem to get my body to take the hint.  LOL  We have been staying up late and sleeping late.  That is a hard habit to break.

We are going out to eat chicken with my inlaws tonight.  Patrick and Poppy got together yesterday and made plans.  I just have to stop for a sec and say that my boys are the best.  They are such a blessing to me. 

Patrick also shared our new kittens with us yesterday.  That is always fun.  We have 1 gray kitten and 2 soft yellow or tabby looking kittens.  They are so cute.  They have their eyes open.  They can't walk yet.  Life is just a neat thing.  Having babies around just makes you feel good.

I better go and make the coffee.  I think I will need it this morning to get moving.  Have a best blessed day.  HUGS!

Now, Friday is.  I still like Mondays too.  I always have a hard time answering that question.  What is your favorite day of the week????  I like them all.  Everyday is a new adventure around here.  I really like Friday, Saturday and Sunday since we get daddy back home.  I do get more of the things that I want to do done through the week now.  Life has so many changes.  I always love seeing what's next.

We had a great weekend.  Yesterday, we thought we were going to get to keep Paul till today.  The phone rang and we ended up sending him to PA @5.  That was yucky.  The boys and I went to Celina, so that made it easier on us. 

We started today out by listening to our new Bible on CD.  We started Matthew and to to chapter 10.  It was really neat.  Paul has one in his truck too.  We can have a chat time on the weekends about what we heard now.  That is really cool.

Good morning.  I slept so good last night.  None of us slept the night before and we were worn out.  Last night, I was out.  I don't think I could have woken up for anything.  That will make today much better.

Hubby and I went on our date night.  We ended up going to O'Charley's to eat.  It was really good.  We went to the mall and checked out Lifeway.  We always find something there.  Then, we just walked around and checked a few other places out.   Hubby sent me to get a manicure while he looked at toolboxes.  That was nice.  I don't like polish, so it didn't take long.  My hands sure do feel and look better.  That was really nice.  We made one last stop at Dairy Queen and got a blizzard to celebrate my birthday.  MMMMM!!!  My blizzard was a Girl Scout Cookie, Thin Mint blizzard.  It was really good.  Of course, I just ate the top of it.  We were still full from dinner.   It was just really good to have a few minutes with hubby alone.  We don't get a lot of that right now.

Time seems to be moving so fast.  I was thinking last night that I will be 40 in a few days.  I don't feel 40.  Of course, 40 is just a number.  I remember a girl coming in to work on her 30th birthday and looking horrible.  She was so depressed because she was turning 30.  There is only one other alternative.  That is dying.  I like being 40, I will take it.  One thing some of you may not know is that I had cancer in 1989-1990.  I am so happy to have a birthday.  I get more time with my family.  So, even though I don't feel 40, I am very happy to be here.  God has blessed me with a great life.

I guess I better get up and get ready.  Today is just going to be a good day.  No matter how much rain falls.  LOL

Whew weeee!!!  Today has been chock full of cleaning.  We redone the computer desk.  That means you have to clean and vacuum and get in every nook and cranny.  We did the sheets and comforter on my bed and flipped the mattresses.  We are vacuuming and getting under everything in the house.  The dishes are done.   The table is cleaned off.  The back of the couch (that holds many books) is cleaned except for the book that Matt is currently  reading.  We have one whole 55 gallon garbage can of stuff that is going, going, almost gone!!!  YAYYYYY!!!!!!  I am so excited.  If feels so good.  I got through a lot of the school stuff and that is a blessing.  I think the only thing I have to have for school is Math U See, Delta DVD and Student book.  I am looking for a curriculum to do that will help my boys learn writing.  I don't mean abc's.  I'm talking stories and helping to lead up to essays and such. 

Tomorrow is looking busy too.  We are planning on sitting up to sell tomorrow morning.  Then....hubby and I are going on a date...ALONE.  YAYYYY!!!!  One of my friends is going to watch our boys and we are going to have a few hours to do...something. We have no idea what but we figure it out.  LOL  I can't think of a movie to watch.  There really  isn't a lot to do around here.  The time together is what will count anyway.  That is exciting.  I need to be getting to bed so I won't be dog tired tomorrow but I just don't feel sleepy yet.

Wow, I can't believe it's Thursday already.  My honey comes home tomorrow.  Since it will be my birthday on Tuesday, we are going out this weekend.  My buddy is keeping the kids on Saturday.  Now, I just have to figure out what we are going to do.  That is the hard part.   There really isn't a lot to do around here.  It is looking like rain, so we will have to choose something that won't be outside.  I can't think of a movie that I want to see.  So, that leaves me wondering ... what to do???  I'm sure we will think of something.

We are going to tutoring later today and have some errands to run in town.  That is always fun.  That's it for this day other than going through some more school stuff and trying to get it all straight.  That is always an interesting thing to do.  You don't just go through stuff.  It is way more than that here.  It takes a while to get it all done.

We had Nana and Poppy over last night and ate pizza.  That was fun.  They don't come over to eat often.  We laughed a lot.  I just about got us all stuck in the car earlier.  I had picked them up when it started raining and I drove through a puddle.  This wasn't just a regular puddle.  It was a huge puddle in the yard.  I really should have gotten stuck and was just blessed that I didn't.  They couldn't believe I made.  I couldn't either after it was over and I saw where I went.  It was funny though.

It is wet and rainy here in KY.  It's wet and rainy in VA too.  We are spending the day inside trying to stay dry.  We sure did need the rain.  I think the yards and gardens will be real happy.  They are getting lots of water.

Congratulations to our friends, The Peterson Family.  They just welcomed a new baby girl into their family early this morning.  Mom and baby are doing great.  This is their 9th child.  Go Petersons!!!

We have been working on getting ready to start school.  I'm trying to go through all the school stuff and get it figured out.  We are also doing some other cleaning.  I have lots of ebay stuff to put on.  I just need to get it done.  I have had way too many calls this morning.  This phone is driving me crazy.  I am ready to throw it.  I can't seem to get anything done.  This has been a hold up for today.  I don't think I will answer it if it isn't Paul.  I really need to get some things finished up.

I am going to do what hubby wanted me to do before I get in trouble.  I just got off the phone again.  He will be calling in a few.  I hope you all have a best blessed day.  HUGS!

That is what I have been doing.  Well, I haven't done the book yet.  I'm afraid I would get rich if I figured it out and wrote the book.  I guess I better forget the book.  Oh well, next idea???

We are enjoying life back to normal.  Things are quieting down now since the 4th of July is over.  I do have a birthday coming up soon (on the 15th).  We are going to spend a rather quiet day of just catching things up and getting some other things ready to sell this weekend.  Time seems to fly around here.

Hope all is great with my blog buddies.  My cousin came and got her kids last night.  It sure was a lot quieter.  They have all been really good.  I was really impressed. 

Today is my Aunt Janice's Birthday.

We are going to have a busy weekend, starting today.  We plan on selling a lot.  We also have an auction on Sat.  It should prove to be busy. 

I am going to try to blog more. I know I feel like a lot of others that I know.  It is hard to blog some of the things that you feel when you feel like it will either be used against you or spread around.  I hope things will get back to normal here soon.  I know I have been stand offish. 

Paul will be home today or maybe early tomorrow.  Thats exciting to me.
