She's A Teenager!!

Today is Rachel's 13th birthday.
*sigh* I'm now the parent of a "teenager". It's hard for me
to imagine her driving in a few short years and dating. She's so
excited to be entering this phase of her life. I just hope I can
guide her through this time and help her to become the young lady God
wants her to be. I never expected this day to be so humbling.
 Today was not as exciting as birthdays usually are. It was rushed and pouring down rain. Rachel got on my nerves this morning - not cooperating and being helpful when I was rushing to get Camille to an 8:30 doctor's appt. Apparently, she wanted no responsibility on her birthday, and I was not in the mood for it. In fact, my mood was kind of stinky all day long. I hope I didn't ruin her day. She's such a good kid...and so very helpful. I'll have to make it up to her tomorrow. |
