Seeking Him

Posted in My Christian Walk

For our daily Bible study, we’ve been studying Jesus’ sermon on the mount (Matthew 5+).  I decided to use this as our initial study because it’s so appropriate.  Jesus is teaching his disciples about the kingdom of God.  It’s his way to prepare them for the mission field.  That’s what I’m doing too… preparing the girls for the mission field.  There is so much for them to learn about the truth in those passages.  Yet, I know that experience will be an even better teacher.  In the meantime, we study and discuss, and I’m gaining so much from our daily lessons.

The more I study the word, the more I hunger for it.  I’ve decided to begin a 12 week study that I purchased long ago and never used.  I think now is the time.  It’s titled “Seeking Him”.  In these weeks since the move, I’ve felt displaced spiritually.  This will be the revival I need.  Please pray for me (and join me too) as I take time to sit at Jesus’ feet and listen to what he has to say to me at this time in my life.

I'm glad you're eager to sit at His feet and learn again. I'm about ready to start up again, too...just waiting for the right time. I was going through Isaiah with Floridasunsets, but I wasn't going very fast.

Thanks for the comment on my blog....and for being proud of my kiddos (I am, too). Maybe you'll meet us someday. I've had weirder things happen.

Have a nice night......Julie

I've felt such a spiritual calling recently too. I've been reading and actually not wanting to put the Bible down. I finished a devotional book and started a different one as a break--about 100 women of the Bible--and while it's a good book, it's light compared with what I was studying, and I find myself yearning for the next book in the series so I can resume more in-depth study. I love how the Holy Spirit helps draw us to Jesus, because we take the time to be with Him daily. I will pray for you daily.
