This is finals week, so after this week, I’m finished teaching until mid-January. Even though this means less income, I’m looking forward to the break. This will be the first break from work since the move and I’m feeling the fatigue from all that’s happened the last five months. My job doesn’t require much “time”, per se (only 10-15 computer hours per week); but it’s always there – hanging over my head – as something that has to be done almost daily. What a mental relief to not have to think of my classes for a while! With all this time on my hands, I will probably read more, take more field trips with the kids, and just spend my evenings with my family instead of being on the computer. Sounds like a mini-vacation… |
