The Simple Life

• Jun. 21, 2007 - I have nothing to say...at all...

I haven't been commenting on other blogs here lately...I just have been so wordless.  I don't know what's going on, but I really just don't have anything to say...about anything.  It's strange...I feel as if the section of my brain that responds to things has been removed.  I'm going to start praying about this and see if God will fill me in on what's going on with my communication.  Maybe I'm just supposed to be listening more instead of talking... Now, since I have nothing to say here are more pictures...

Daddy Caught A Big Fish!

Our Lovely Children (this picture REALLY catches their personalities)

Emery and Richard disappeared yesterday (for a long time).  I found out that they were under the house painting an old cabinet on the wall...they wanted to make a pretty place for me to store the vegetables I'm going to can...I just have to say...this made me want to wail with gratitude and joy!!!!!!

One of my favorite times of the day is the evening when I can hear Richard reading to the children.   It really calms my soul at the end of the day.

Squash from the Garden...this is SOOOOO yummy!!!!!  (Jen's picture is prettier than mine !)

Green Beans from the Garden

Gluten Free Pizza...from scratch...IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!!

Martha Bryan (my three year old) wanted to take a picture of Mommy

She also wanted to dress herself...all by herself...can you tell that her shirt is backwards AND inside out...AND her cut off jeans are on backwards...she was SOOOO proud!!!

MORE bounty from the garden

Well folks...that's all for now!

Praise be to God who takes care of everything we could possibly need!

Growing In Christ,

Shay

Your pictures are awesome! The green beans looked so yummy. I haven't ever tried to plant green beans, but I love them. I end up purchasing them at the farmers market every year. I think I will try to grow them next year.

Hi Mr. Carr,
I went to www.Iwillworship.com and I figured out that that song "Shine Like the Moon" or whatever it's called is by Salvador (that song that we were wondering who the author was on the way down from the Burggraf's).

I can't wait to hear your new songs!!! What is that song that I really liked and almost put Martha Brian to sleep called? I heard a song by Brandon Heath that started off with a guitar using the same tune of that song you wrote.

My mom showed me some new stuff on the guitar and taught me how to play "Our God is an Awesome God". I can't play the song you gave me by Casting Crowns because I'm still having a hard time with that bar cord. Piano is going great. I start my lesson's on the second Thursday of July. I'm REALLY excited about it.

I have to go upstairs now, I've been looking at the moniter for too long and I'm starting to get a headache.

Thank you for your comments on my blog! I love getting comments from you guys!

Can't wait to see you again,
-Ryann

I know what you mean about 'not feeling like you have anything to say.' That is why I came here to read some Random Blogs. Happy to see that I visited you first - and found someone who feels the same!!!!
Your children are beautiful!
God Bless,

• Jun. 25, 2007 - Clay Dirt

Posted by Gina1977
What a lovely garden you have! We moved to our new home in October and in the spring the first thing on my list was "Start a garden." Well, I have quickly discovered we have CLAY DIRT! Not impossible, but very difficult to grow things in. I've been reading up and one has to do some serious preparing to grow a garden in clay dirt. RATS! So I am going to finish off my (very) modest harvest and in the fall my hubby and I have some work ahead of us "preparing the land" for next spring. I am not a quitter, I shall overcome! Anyway, just wanted to tell you how lucky you are to have such a great garden.

Hi Shay! The pictures of your 'garden goods' are beautiful!! How rewarding!! I also noticed the pics of your gluten free pizza and zucchini bread. I have been searching for some good recipes for gluten free items, but don't know which ones are really good. Would you be interested in sharing your recipes?
