Yes, the family birthday "curse" strikes again.  Wednesday was #4's third birthday (it was also the 10th anniversary of my 30th birthday  - hey, if there isn't any cake and nobody sings, then it NEVER happened!)  But I digress......

So we had a little pool party planned for him today - his two best friends, their parents and older sisters as well as my friend with her twin boys.  After I had gone to the store to get all of the food, of course, I get a call from one friend saying her daughter is sick so her husband will be staying home with her.  As well as, the other mom had called her when she couldn't find my phone number to say they were taking her daughter to the emergency room for what they think is appendicitis and so they won't be coming.  (#3 was highly disappointed since he has a big crush on the daughter)  Our party of 16 people had suddenly become a party of 10.  UGH!  I have gobs of food left over, more cake than I want to look at and thankfully, teenagers to eat it.
