"Organized" Chaos

• Mar. 7, 2009 - My dog has a valid passport and I don't.........

Yes, you read that right.  My dog has a valid passport and I don't.  How unfair is that?  Barras arrived in the U.S. last December from Hungary and traveled from the kennel in PA to the trainer here in NC last weekend.  The trainer brought him to our house today for a "meet & greet' with the family and our zoo of pets.  He seems like he is going to be a great dog (once he learns some manners and obedience).  He loved the little kids and they loved him.  As far as the cats and horses go - Barras didn't seem impressed by either.  He is very underweight for his size which has something to do with the importing - the fees are set by size and so the goal is to get another 15lbs on him as soon as possible.  If he is as smart as he appears, he should be at the trainer about a month and then home to us for good.  Hey, he can't be too dumb.......he will understand 3 languages when he's all trained which will be 2 more than I know!  Hungarian, where he's from, German for his protection commands and English for the majority of his training.  I might not know what I'm saying to him in German, but who cares!  As long as HE understands what I am telling him and he obeys me!  Now to only get the kids to obey me the same way..................
