My "theme song"...
So, this is kind of personal, but watching my 14-month-old grow and develop has had me thinking a lot lately about the baby we don't have, the one who would be just over two years old now if he'd made it to his due date. Having arrived 28 weeks early, however, we don't have him here. But a song I heard for the first time a few days later has meant a great deal to me ever since, and this is what just happened a few minutes ago...
I've been catching up on e-mail and was about to answer a nice e-mail I'd received from someone in the U.K. She has a blog here, so I thought I'd have a look at it first, kind of be informed before writing back (we'd exchanged an e-mail or two before because they were going to be visiting Germany, but I wasn't in Germany myself at the time, and didn't have time to say more than that). Well, anyone who wants to know what my "theme song" has been for about two and a half years, actually, since Sunday, Feburary 29, 2004, to be exact, go over to her blog with your speakers turned on (mine weren't, at first--I had to turn them on to find out to what song she was referring). I still don't know how to do that fancy thing where you just write "her blog" but people can click on it and it goes straight to www.homeschoolblogger.com/deedeeuk/ , but anyway, that's the link, and I added her to my friends, too. Partly because I like her blog and want to read it, but also because I don't know how to put music on my own blog, nor do I have any other recording of that song.
Blessed be the Name of the Lord...

The music is pretty easy, if you scroll down the page in the right hand margin you will see a little music player. If you click on it it should take you to a website called John's Christian Music Codes. You go through and find the song you would like to have, and it will give you a code that you will need to copy and past into your page code. So once you've copied the code from his site, login on your's and go to edit template. Scroll down through the code and you'll see this <-!RIGHT SIDE OF THE TEMPLATE->, keep scrolling down and you'll see the headlines for your Friends list or recent posts. Copy the code from his site into one of those spots. Then make sure you preview your page before you save the changes. It's a little scary at first, but when you play with it a little it becomes easier to understand.
God bless, the parents of Germany are in my thoughts and prayers. And I did send an email to the German Embassy.

Thanks for the email and for this entry! I'm so glad that my story has ministered to you in such a special way. God has given me so many promises in the past couple of years about what He is going to do through my story! Sometimes it is a bit scary, but most of the time it is just so special to think that God is going to take something in my life which was so horrible and ugly at the time and turn it into something beautiful that He can use to touch so many lives! (How is that for a major run on sentence? :) ) I'm so sorry about your baby, I didn't realize. Feel free to come and listen to my song anytime, and to come and 'visit' too! It would be great to get to know you better. And maybe even meet up this side of heaven. By the way, the link thing. Do you know how to copy and paste? If so, you go to my blog and copy the address at the top, then you go to the entry you are writing, you drag your mouse over the word you want to use as a link, and at the top is a little symbol of a globe with a couple of chain links under it. Click on that and a box will appear with an address bar in it. Paste the address you just copied into that box and hit OK.The word that you had highlighted will now change color and if you click onto it it will take you to the other link. Hope that makes sense! Best to try it on a fake post first till you figure it out. Thanks for sending people over though, it was really sweet of you.

I came to your blog through the Apologia message board.
Here's some help. To make a clickable link...do this,
<a href="http://www.yourwebaddress"> Website Name</a>
Hope that helps!

Every time I edit a comment, it messes up the link to my blog. This time, it also logger me out. Grrr...
However, the line below my name is what your tag should look like and it should add a clickable link that just says At The Moment...
Be Blessed!

I don't think I knew you ever got the attachment open. But also my sent e-mail is dated 3/1/2004. But you'd told me if you just heard it "yesterday"... Anyway, I'll make sure you get a recording if you still don't have it.
