I now have an address to write to Melissa directly (see entry about 15-year-old girl who has been removed from her family and placed in a psychiatric ward), as her father is asking people to write to her and encourage her. I received this e-mail in two separate e-mails, incidentally--first from a person who coordinates a lot of this information for the press, and then from a friend of ours, who received the e-mail directly from Melissa's father!
