What is your favorite worship song? Or favorite Christian song, hymn, you see what I am getting at

I'm pretty new to the whole Christian music scene and I'm trying to build a little library of good songs to listen to when I clean the house or on my headphones while I read your blogs!

I love the song "Hungry (Fall on your knees)" and "Be Blessed" by Yolanda Adams. I bought a compilation CD "Worship Together" and I've listened to that nonstop for about a month now. LOL

Thank you for visiting my blog and your sweet words. I'm glad God used it. I read your profile and sounds like we have a lot in common. I have an 8 year old and 6 year old. I have so many songs I love. Some of my favorite artist are Darlene Zcheck (sp?) and Natalie Grant. I could listen to Natalie all day! It really does help the focus and the spirit while working around the house!

I'm afraid whenever I have to list a favorite of anything I have too many too list. I will try to think of one. I have old time favs and contemporary favs. In answer to your question about the Story of the World books, I read number 2 and then started number 3. I purchased them instead of checking them out at the library because it takes me longer to go through history books plus I start a zillion books at a time. Since they talk about certain time frames any one can be started first depending on what era you are interested in.

I am really into hymns right now. Re-made, not organ.... Next Door Saviour is an awesome CD. As is Bart Millard, Hymned No 1. Selah also has good hymns. Some good singers are Third Day, Chris Tomlin, Michael W Smith - good worship, lots and lots of good stuff out there. Listen to a Christian radio station and you will find out what you like. You can listen to radio stations online - http://www.thefishatlanta.com/ is a good one. http://www.mbn.org/GenMoody/default.asp?SectionID=CD6A8113F7BA4EEC9DB4C2B609F01098 is a favorite (chicago station... hehe..... ) but they do have alot of talk. Anyway, did I give you enough ideas?

I have many CDs by Hillsong ( Darlene Zschech is the worship leader). I'd have to say they are my favorites. I also really like Vicki Yohe ( who has 2 CDs) and Tim Hughes. (He sings "Here I am to Worship")

I am the worship leader of our contemporary service at church so, I have tons and tons of favorites, but if had to name a few it would be: Nicole Nordeman (hence my screen name) I looovvveee her, she is awesome, Paul Wilbur - The Watchman and Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (I listen to him all day while I'm cleaning), Michael W. Smith (anything he sings is awesome). My list could go on and on.
