Happy New Year!!!!!!!

You will never guess how I am going to celebrate the coming of 2007!?!  Originally I was going to go to the church party, but my best friend has to work at 5 a.m. and decided it was just too much, so I decided to stay home with the kids and dh too.  Most of my evening has been spent cooking, cleaning, and rearranging the kitchen.  But NO!  The fun does NOT stop there!    Now I am going to make my lesson plan for next week!  Woohoo!  Go me!  I am such a wild one!  LOL  

Emme and I will be finishing up our Native American study this week -- no, next week.  I need 2 more weeks.  I have about 4 more books to read, and 2 of them are really kind of long.   We are also going to do a nice lap book to show what we've learned throughout this part of history!  

Jennah and Jake don't go back to school until Wednesday, so Jennah is going to be my "teacher's assistant" for the next couple of days.  She can take over some of the reading!  That makes it nice. 

Tomorrow is going to be a really low key day as well.  I have quite a bit of laundry to do, plus I need to pick up the living room, mop the kitchen floor, school, and then go to my parents' house for Chinese food!  Yum!

My "goal" (not resolution!  lol) for next year is to be more responsible in every aspect of my life!  I figured instead of making intensive lists of what I want to do in every category of my life like I generally do, I will just make a blanket statement that I will try to be more responsible.  It's truly what I need!  I'll be posting more about responsibility later this week and what areas I will be focusing on!

I will also be posting my 2006 reading list and my top 10 picks for 2006!  I kept pretty good track of what I read last year and I plan on being a stickler this year!   I am also going to keep a record of the movies I watched, so this time next year I can list those too.
