Monday, March 12, 2007 -

Two weekends ago, Savannah and I took a trip with my two cousins, aunt Hope and a family friend Jose to DISNEYLAND!! We left on the first of March and were gone for 5 days!! We had a blast!! We visited my Aunt Haley and Uncle Ryan in Cali and and stayed with them for 2 days, then we were at Disneyland for 2 and a half days. Heres a picture of Lorelle (my cousin) Jose and I in the plane on the way there. The whole way there, for the 45minutes we were flying, we quized Jose with all these flash cards that he had. They were a bunch of American history flash cards, and out of the 100 cards that there were, I only knew about 50.. they were REALLY hard :D But he got 'em all!! I

 learned alot about America.... I already knew a lot... BUT THERES A LOT TO KNOW!!! Then we had these really good drinks that the flight attendants gave us. They mixed cranberry juice, sprite, and creamer in it.. TRY IT! Its really good. Then we listened to music on the 3 iPods that we had. THEN we looked at pictures on Joses computer. It was a TON of fun.
 
Now, heres a pic of my Aunt Hope, my cousin Lexi (with the teddy..Bill.. :D by the window) and Savannah. I have no idea what they were doing, we were doing so much across from them we didn't really pay attention. I think they were... uh... watching a movie. I don't know :D

The flight was nice and smooth, we left at around 9pm and got there around 10pm. There was only a LITTLE terbulance, and once we were flying over L.A. it was SO BEAUTIFUL!! I've been to L.A. about 4 times but we drove, I've never seen it from the sky. :) It was HUGE. It was light up for miles, you couldn't even see the end.






Heres my uncle Ryan and I in Santa Monica riding bikes. We all rode tandomes. Only the bummer about our bike is that the chain kept coming off, I don't think that they clean them very well. But it was a good 3 miles there and back!!





OK, Now heres some pics from DISNEYLAND!
This was when we ALL went on the Maliboomer! Its the one ride that I swore I would NEVER go on!!!!!!!!  You sit on it , and it SHOOTS you up in 1000 feet in the air SUPER fast!!!! It isn't as bad as it looks... but I still didn't like it. My cousin Lorelle and I WERE NOT gonna go on it, but my Aunt Haley said that we HAD to.... so we did it... WITH GREAT FEAR!!!!!!







And of course theres the Haunted Mansion! ONE OF MY FAVORITE RIDES!!!! I would LOVE to live in a house like that... just not haunted, and not in the middle of Disneyland :D
 



Now heres a pic of all of us girls after we got our hats :D My hat was one of the the three that light up!!! And now, heres 4 of us... PIGGING OUT after walking for 4 hours!!! We had alot of fun!!!

Hey all
Its been so long since I've sat down and actually wrote an entry! How is everyone? We've been doing pretty good over here. This morning I was woken up by about 3 people. First Summer came in and announced that she wanted to eat, that was at 7:15, there was no way I was getting up at 7!! So then I fell back asleep and Skylar came in around....er... I don't know 7:45 and HE announced that I was 'supposed' to get up, But I can't remember if that was real or if it was a dream. Then Spencer came in and said that I had to get up because he needed help with his bed, that was at 8:30. So I got up and helped him with his bed, went back to my room straightend it up, got dressed, went up stairs, ate breakfast, got some kids ready for the day, then we all went downstairs and folded laundry. While we were folding laundry, Summer was sitting next to me and I noticed that she was some super cute new sweat pants. I said "Summer, are those new pants?" She said "Ya I got 'dem to 'da store" Then mom corrected her, and apparently she got them from some friends of ours. Then she remembered and said "oh ya... not da store" So I just sat there and nodded my head, then I asked if they fit her good and she said (this is my favorite part) " Ya, but der just a little bit to big for me, whatever!" It was so cute hearing a 3 year old say that in her little 3 year old 'accent'!! It was so adorable! And shes learned to cross one eye, and look at you with the other so I got some pictures of her doing that. SO CUTE!! I added some other pictures that I took today also. It rained today and we got the most beautiful rainbow! So I added some of those :D

But now I am extremely tired and am GOING TO BED! I hope all is well, and I will check back here later. :)

The Declaration of Independence: A Transcription


IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. The Declaration of Independence Part 2 of 3

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.
He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.
He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.
He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.
He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.
He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences
For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:
For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.
He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.
He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.
He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

ANOTHER SNOW DAY!!!! Yesterday it snowed nothin' I've ever seen before!! We had boatloads of snow! It was so much fun. Savannah, Skylar, Spencer, Dad and I were out side playing in it. We went snowboarding down the road, and down our lawn. Skylar and Savannah made an igloo, I wanted to help them, but I was so cold, I just HAD to go inside before I got frost bite or something. :D

Hey All-

Sorry its been so long since I've posted. Things have been really crazy around here! Yesterday I went to my friends house to help her and her mom scap-book. I was there all day, but it was a blast! Then today we've pretty much been gone all day and when we got home we did school.
            On Sat. my youth group leader had her wedding. That was alot of fun. She was so pretty!!! On friday, we did...school. On thurs. we did... school. We've been doing school like crazy since we started back up again from our Christmas break on Wednesday. For a while, if alot of you didn't notice, I've been trying to fix my blog. I've been fiddling with it for a while, changing it around. The bummer part about the beginning of the year, is we usually don't have alot of time to do anything cause we're so busy trying to get organized, which is why I haven't had time to post any entries. So whenever I do get some time to work on my blog it isn't alot. Alot of you may notice some problems with my blog... I know :D I'm working on it. Slowly but surly! I'll hopefully get it done soon! :)
           I hope all is well, and I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thursday, December 7, 2006 - Christmas

Wow! I can't believe how fast this whole year has gone. It seems like just yesturday that it was MARCH!!!! Weird. It snowed a couple days ago. So I put a few pictures on here for ya. My family and I went 'Christmas light looking' (as we call it) earlier. That was alot of fun. We went to Krispy Kreme, to give a holiday spirit feeling, and we looked at lights forever. But I had alot of fun :D
I finally got my blog going. That took forever, but I just don't have that much extra time in December.
