Tuesday, October 17, 2006 - Late Night

Last night my bed was a complete disaster so I didn't want to take the time to clean it up, I mean it was already 11:45pm and I was pretty tired. It had been a long day, so I crawl in bed with Summer and all of a sudden............... I HEAR A CRY!!!!!!! NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sydney had mysteriously woken up..............don't ask me how. It went from this...to this.......! And I went from this....... to this............. to this.........., ok you get the picture :) So I got up and rocked her, and sang to her, for about 30 minutes. And finally after 30 minutes of me singing at 12am, I figure the coast is clear, so I lay her down and jump into bed ASAP!!!!!!!!!! Well then she got mad and started to scream, I let her cry it out for about 2 minutes, then it was just getting annoying. So I got up and repeated the same thing over again... only this time I walked her out of the room, down the hall, through the kitchen, and around the living room. Did I mention that this is all while I am singing :) I WAS SO TIRED TOO!!!! Anyway, After 15 minutes of repeating the same thing over and over, I re-traced my foot step, around the living room, through the kitchen, down the hall, and back to the bed room, home base! I lay her down , thinking that that would have had done it... but LOW AND BEHOLD........ SHE  CRIES AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AAARRRGGGHH!!!!!! That was it for me... If mom hadn't come in the room just then, I was gonna sleep on the couch. But thats what happened anyway, Mom told me to take Summer some where else so she could let Syd cry it out and we wouldn't have to be awake for 3 hours. So I took Summer and folded the hide-a- bed out and we just slept on that!

I think it probably would have had been smarter if I had just cleaned off my bed in the first place....... once again................

So that was my 'Late night'

Tuesday, September 26, 2006 - Smile!

This morning I got up at 7:45, not bad for going to bed at... 11pm... Which, for me, is early! Went up stairs and got breakfast and waited for 10am to come around, thats when our piano teacher came. So we did Piano lessons till 11am, and then my Aunt and Grandma came over for about 1 hour, we talked and talked and talked... for an hour! :) Then at 12:30 they left, and we left (meaning, Me, Mom, Skylar, and Spencer) to go to the dentist for a nice cleaning checkup :)  It was pretty fun :) That sounds a bit crazy I guess. They're pretty nice though. I had to sit and wait FOREVER I felt like going to sleep but they kept me alive...I read 3 magazines played this game called 20 questions, and Cleaned my teeth :) They're very sweet there... I felt loved! :) And best part was.. I HAD NOT CAVITY'S!!!!! That was the highlight of the trip... I do have a tooth on the roof of my mouth, that turned 180 degrees though!!!! The dentist said that that would make a great conversation! He said he doesn't see very many people whos teeth turned 180 degrees. And he said that I have a very beautiful smile, and to keep up the good work. Very encouraging!!!!!!!

So we left and went to Wal-Mart, I got a CD and almost got duck tape. The CD that I got was sort of expensive, So I would either get the duck tape to make a wallet or something, or the CD that I would remember for the rest of my life............hmmmmm......... Thats a tough one! HEH HEH! So I just got the CD... Forking over 13 bucks isn't easy :) But I did it! Any who, mom got grocery's, grocery's and more grocery's, we came home unpacked, and then one of my parents friends came over. So they're talking to him and I'm bloggin'. Worked for me :)
But I better go and get the kids to stop screaming!

Wednesday, August 23, 2006 - Camp Grandma and Grandpa

Well I know, yet agian I have managed to be late with my blogging. That happens with me alot :) But I have a very good excuse... from the 10th to the 14th my mom and dad had a conference that they were doing in Seattle. And then from the 18th to the 22nd, (yesterday) Savannah, Skylar and I were at my Grandparents house in Mount Vernon. We do this thing once a year, sometime in the summer, called Camp Grandma and Grandpa AKA Camp G and G. We had tons of fun there. My two cousins come too, so we do nothing but Family stuff for 5 days. The first night is always movie night, so we went to blockbuster and Skylar picked out Hoot. The new Disney movie I think. The next day we went up to the North Cascades and hicked some trail that was 2.4 miles, our goal was to get to this lake called Lake Ann. It was really pretty, the hike was worth it! Then on the 3rd day we were all so tired from the hike and from going to bed late and waking up early, we decided to stay home and go fishing, play games, and eat! That was a fun day :) On the 4th day we went to a place called Fort Casey, Its like a park by the beach, ok maybe not a park, I actually don't know the backround of it, I used to , before I forgot :) Anyway, we, meaning me, Savannah and my cousin, played by the beach all day! Theres logs all over the beach, so we built the biggest fort. It was really fun, we made this, sort of a spy window that looked over the beach. It was so pretty! Me and my cousin put big rocks on the floors, it gave nice decoration. :) And when we were done we got a little carried away with jumping into the huge 7 foot waves :) I was soaked from head to toe. IT WAS A BLAST!!!!! I had alot of fun. So anyway, that is my good yet lame exuse for not blogging. But I am trying to watch a movie right now. So I am going to sign off, I will hopefully blog again soon :) Over and Out Sierra

Friday, August 4, 2006 - Random stuff

Sorry that its taken mBue so long to blog. We have been, yet again, busy. I don't think we know how to stop! I'm just giving you an update on whats been goin on. Yesterday we got a boat! We have a friend who was getting rid of it and asked us if we knew some one who was looking for a boat, Mom said "Maybe " :)  So we went to look at that yesterday and, it was a little beat up, but when you have alot of babys in the family, its gonna get that way anyway. So we called our friend (he was at work) and told him that we liked it, he was happy, we were happy. It worked out great. So my dads been working on it a little bit. Hes trying to see if the motor will run,  because we are taking it out to go camping today with our family. They're all going boating and we figured we should probebly get a boat instead of craming  our whole family into one little small boat. So we pretty much spent our whole day doing that. And today we are packing up our motor home, we're taking it out for the first time today! I've stuffed it with food and blankets, made the beds, hooked up the T.V. got games in there , Skylar and Savannah helped too. So I guess, We did it! And also today is Sydneys birthday, I wrote about it below, pictures and all.
Well I better go finish what I started

Monday, July 24, 2006 - COLORADO!

On the 18th we flew to Colorado Springs CO to see my Grandpa and Grandma. We used to live there for about 5 months and then we moved back to Portland OR for a job that my dad took as a worship pastor. This is all of us when we got to the PDX airport, My Aunt drooped us off.........
We had to get up at 8am... That wasn't so bad, its better than 5.We had to be at the airport by 11:15am and it takes about 1 hour or 2 to get on the plane,because of security, finding your flight number, that kind of stuff. It was only a 2 hour flight and  I thought that it was kind of amazing after 30min of being on the plane we were in Idaho!!!! I know Idaho is close anyway but usually it doesn't take 30 MINUTES!!!! Theres us when we had just gotten on. We were so exited!!! I couldn't believe that we were actually on a plane! almost 13 years of living and I had only been on a plane once........... when I was 5 weeks old!!!!
So there we were, getting ready to be in a plane with a bunch of other people for 2 hours!!! Well, it wasn't that bad, it actually seems like it goes by alot faster when your actually doing something. And we had  word search puzzles, movies, snacks, music, windows,books, screaming baby's :) You name it, we had it! It was alot of fun!


So there it is folks, one time in a life time view! HOW MANY TIMES A DECADE DO YOU SEE THAT???!!!!! Mt.St.Helen's and Mt. Adams in one view.It was the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen.
Spencer and Summer sat next to each other and having fun looking at the clouds and seeing which one looked like an ice cream cone. I'm not sure why but Spencer kept saying "Theres a flying moose... Just kidding!"  I'm not sure where he come up with all this interesting stuff, certainly not from me! 




When we arrived in Denver, the Air port was HUGE! I've never seen an air port that big. I thought that the one in Portland was big. I was wrong BIG TIME!!We almost got lost but thankfully there were signs ever were pointing us in he right direction. We had to take the sub way to get our bags, A subway... IN SIDE THE AIRPORT! It was going so fast too. It was a good thing that we didn't have to walk all that far because I don't know if I would be able to handle it... ok well I don't think anyone would be able to!Anyway, after 15 minutes of searching for out luggage, Grandma and Grandpa came to pick us up., It was really good to see them. So we went outside in the 100 degree weather to leave for Colorado Springs which is an hour away. But it didn't seem like that long.
This is Castle Rock, They call it Castle Rock because as you can see its a rock, that looks like a castle!!!! :) That was one of the first things that we saw on the way to our hotel in Colorado Springs. Summer said that it was a princess castle, we tried to tell her, but its hard to get something like that in a 3 year old brain who's world revolves around princess!!!!

When we got there we just relaxed and got our stuff unpacked, Savannah, Skylar and I stayed at my Grandparents house and the rest of the gain just stayed in a hotel. The next day we got up early and went to do some things, came back and swam in the hotel swimming pool, and BOY WERE WE SPOILED!!!!!!! The Pool had a water slide!!!!! It was a BLAST!!!!! Theres Skylar going down!
The nice thing about this pool is that theres, well I guess you could say 2 pools, one outside and one inside!So you could have fun on the slide inside but go and be in the sun and not the craziness outside,
Pretty cool :)We had alot of fun. I think that the boys had more fun than any of us, they were doing, well normal boy things, at one point Skylar was WALKING down the slide, mom told him not to do it, then he stoped..... but gee wiz how do you think of such deadly things!!!!???? Spencer walked down it once until I saw him and then he sat down and just FLEW down the slide!!!!!! I got a little bit of a mark from the slide, when I was going down my finger got caught where the water comes out and ripped my skin, I didn't notice until the chlorine got into it, then it just HURT REALLY BAD! So I have a Colorado mark :)The end of the slide was really fun, you would shoot out really far, well about 1 foot and a half. But still, its a thriller, pretty much the whole thing was a blast!

 We only went swimming 3 times but had fun, The second day Skylar had a swim buddy, his buddy and his family were visiting from....I have no idea, and we were supposed to swim with them again but never got together, there somewhere on the planet :)

The third day we went to a place called Garden of the Gods. Its a really famous place. Dad said it should be called Gods Garden :) SO TRUE! On the 2nd day we just went around and looked at some more stuff went to restaurants, that kinda stuff. We went to Joe's Crab Shack for Skylar's birthday. He loves crab and so he decided to go to Joe's Crap Shack... makes sense!!!!We had alot of fun, I for one do not like sea food so I just got a small pizza... very filling!My Grandpa had never had crab before so he had fun too :)
Over all it was a memorable time and we got TONS of pictures to look back on.

Monday, July 17, 2006 - WATER WATER EVERYWHERE!

               On Friday my mom and dad went to go have dinner with some friends. Leaving all of us kids, thankfully after the little ones went to bed. Anyway, I was cleaning the kitchen when Skylar comes running up stairs yelling "SIERRA HELP! THE DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM IS FLOODING!" Skylar usually makes jokes about those sort of things so I thought nothing of it, then Savannah came up stairs yelling the same thing. Now I knew that there was a 50/50 chance that it was either true, or there pulling my leg.
         So I went downstairs and checked it out, sure enough there was water flooding the bathroom because Savannah had accidentally left the water running in the sink, she was trying to fill it up so she could clean the bathroom, obviously, so we got every towel in the house, and started soaking'' it up. It took about 15 towels.
So then after we got that done,
 I went up stairs to finish my dirty kitchen job
And as soon as I reached the second stair Savannah yells yet again, "THE LAUNDRY ROOM IS FLOODING!" So I went back downstairs, (which really wasn't that far) and the water from the bathroom had soaked through the wall and was now all over the laundry, its a good thing that the only thing it was touching was dirty laundry. :) So we start cleaning that up with the towels that we had left, and believe me there wasn't that much left.

So we got that done and I went back upstairs to clean my kitchen, slower this time because I was afraid they would call me again.

And when I came downstairs when I was done with the kitchen a half hour later, As I am walking in the family room towards the couch thinking how nice it would be to sit back and relax.................. "Whats this?" I think to myself..............  THERE WAS WATER EVERYWHERE ALL OVER THE FLOOR!!!!!! THE CARPET WAS JUST SOAKED, NO DROWNING IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  At this point I wanted to just fall over I remembered that that day mom was filling out fountain in the front of the house, on the porch and while she was filling it she went to the backyard to do some yard work and forgot about it! It was running for nearly 2 hours! So we were getting all this water from the hose, from outside, which means its freezing and we were all tired, It was already 10pm! So I called mom and dad and told them the situation, and they told me to get the carpet cleaner and start sucking it up. They were on there way home by then. So I got the carpet cleaner and started sucking it up like I was told to do, and then I realized that the places where I had already sucked it up at was wet AGAIN!!!!!!!! NOW I'M MAD! I have 3 times the work I have to do! This as you can imagine is very frustrating. So when mom and dad got home we just decided to let all the water come in while we were sleeping and in the morning we would suck it up. So at 8:15am on Saturday, we get up and start sucking the water up, and it took longer than we thought it would take, it took all day to suck it up! And now its just drying, we've had the fans on it for 2 days. We think we will need to replace the carpet because it is smelling like moldy water. Its really bad!

So ya, thats what we've been doing over the weekend.
Its been very crazy!
So now I am going to go and vacuum up my room and then read a little bit.
