Tadpoles to Frogs

It is amazing how fast our tadpoles are morphing!  I am actually a little behind in my blogging so these pictures are behind.  We got our tadpoles on October 14th.  Within about a week they had sprouted back legs and this is what they looked like after two weeks.  You will notice that one is still very tadpole like (large head with back legs and a tail) while the other two are more frog like (small head with front and back legs and a tail.)  We had an experiment going and we found that the tadpoles whose water was not warmed for a few hours a day morphed faster!  This was the opposite of what we expected.  These are the first creatures we have ever witnessed that actually got smaller the older they got!  Here are the pictures:
