Currently Reading

Thanks to a generous loan from my friend Debrah, I am currently reading "A Chance To Die, The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael," by Elisabeth Elliot.

I must confess that I was at first afraid that I would not like the book.  It's 379 pages long.  Not that I am daunted by thick books, on the contrary, I have read books this length in 1 - 2 days before.  It was just the 'non-fiction' 379 pages that concerned me!    Now, again, I don't want to give the wrong impression, there are many non-fiction books I love, I guess I have just gotten hold of some really dry biographies before. 

I should have known better, this book is after all, written by Elisabeth Elliot, whom I have read and loved before.  This is a fascinating look at the life of an extraordinary woman.  I highly encourage you to read it.

I just picked up this book again, too. It's been collecting dust on my self for a few years now. I'm really being challenged by her life and her love for the Lord.

Thanks for coming by The Full Table, too. I'm glad you were able to enjoy it.
