Dawn of the first day.......240 hours remaining!!

We arrived at Grannies on Saturday night around 9 PM. Just in time to have a nice hot tub before bedtime.

Believe it or not…these are all the things we did today:

  1. got up and had breakfast….bacon and eggs.
  2. We planted some seeds. I planted Chinese lanterns and sweet peas (wild)
  3. I built a small table and a little shelf for the playhouse out of scrap wood in the garage and nails…big and small.
  4. We made bouncy balls out of a science craft kit
  5. We went for a paddle boat ride.
  6. Explored across the water and we found part of a big broken goose egg.
  7. We had lunch….Mr. Noodles and grilled cheese.
  8. We went shopping to get some rubber boots and a pair of slip on runners.
  9. We went exploring at the Spit. We were making geoducks squirt us by digging them with a seashell or poking them with our fingers. We also caught some sea creatures in a bucket.  A nice big hermit crab named snappy and orange snail (trying to escape captivity) which we named slimy and a tiny little snail that was orange too which we named slimy Jr.
  10. We came home and played some music and read some stories.
  11. We played in the yard and over at the park.
  12. Then we had supper……egg rolls and mummified (breaded) shrimp.
  13. We had a big hot tub. I wore goggles so I could dive for pennies in the hot tub.
  14. Then we wrote this blog entry and next we are going to read some stories, and go to bed.

And that’s all I shall write for today…..Bye bye…my friends.  The end

What a big day, Silas! It sounds like you and Granny are both going to be sleeping really good at night with all those fun things to do! I wish I could be digging up little sea creatures right now, too! Makes me really look forward to visiting on the Island this summer :)
Remember to be a good boy and be thankful to your fun Grannie! i love you :)
