Scouts and School

We finally got back to homeschooling after a long break.

We worked on Math and did tons of scouting stuff.

My ds is eagerly working on his merit badges and hoping to get Eagle by next year. He will be 15.  A little older than most at church.  A few kids got their eagle by the age of 12.

P is trying to get his Faith in God and starting his Tenderfoot.

N is working on his religous knot and his Bear.

We worked on it a bit today.

Victoria is wondering when she can go into scouts.  = P

I told her that she will be in activity days at church and then young women

I can't wait for her to be in young womens..I was never able to do that since I became a member at the age of 23 and I was married.

Here is a sample of their belief statements

or Values

Faith: I am a daughter of Heavenly Father, who loves me. I have faith in His eternal plan, which centers on Jesus Christ, my Savior.
Divine Nature: I have inherited divine qualities, which I will strive to develop.
Individual Worth: I am of infinite worth with my own divine mission, which I will strive to fulfill.
Knowledge: I will continually seek opportunities for learning and growth.
Choice and Accountability: I will choose good over evil and will accept responsibility for my decisions.
Good Works: I will help others and build the kingdom through righteous service.
Integrity:
I will have the moral courage to make my actions consistent with my knowledge of right and wrong.

Neat huh..oh well..

I hope that my dd will enjoy her time in the program.  They have lots and lots to do especially serve.  Thats very important.

I have 2 young boys after my daughter so I will continue to be involved in scouts until I am very very old  = )
