Description
Just learning to be who I am..but still trying to find out who that is.
Love my kids, of which I have 6
Some are now homeschooled, and some are not.
Working, going to school, and trying to be there for everyone and everything.

I have no idea what to title this post. I have lots to say but don't know where to begin.
First, I am trying to get back to my frugal ways, but its hard. My goal is to get my food storage in order. Little by little I have been adding extras for that.
I added pasta and rice, but I am not sure what to add next. I want to have a cycle of products..eventually coming back to pasta and rice until I have a year supply.
I want to save money and use less for unwanted or needless things. One thing I promised my dh is that I was going to have my nails done. he really enjoyed it when I got them done twice before.
I also need to add on to the winter clothes for the kids.
So my plan is as follows:
Stock up on food storage
supplement winter clothes
work toward cash only expenditure...no plastic even debit cards.
We want to save money to buy a family car with as much down as we can..with a possibility of total cash payment. That will mean the car has to be an older model but thats fine if we don't have to have a car payment.
We have not had a car payment for almost 3 years, I think.
We were doing well but fell off the wagon and started living beyond our means again..so its time to tighten the belt again.
On to the next topic. I spoke to my Aunt, (that was raised with me) after 15 years. I don't know where this will lead, but I am cautiously optimistic.
I spoke to both my mother and my father last week..again, no big emotional upheavels..sadly, with my mother it was almost a let down to speak with her. I don't know why. I called her today but she never called me back. I don't know if she got the message.
I wanted to let her know that I spoke to my aunt, her sister, and update her a little.
We have gotten into a rut with our conversations.
I will chart my progress with both the reunion and the financial part of my life. |
