I was in Wal-Mart and saw all these mothers with their children buying school supplies. I though about how times have changed. They all had lists with things on them like crayons, notebooks, filler paper, markers, pencils, three-ring binders, and so on. These were elementary children too. We never had lists of things we had to bring to school when I was young, they gave us crayons and a new pencil and tablet every six weeks. I wondered when they started giving parents this kind of list and why. I miss the good ol' days. I'm too young to have live in the Andy era but I wouldn't mind living in Mayberry. |
So, are you a native and should I know your unmarried name? (And, if you remember me from high school, please don't hold it against me. What a jerk I was most times...)
