The Simple Woman's Daybook - May 6th

For Today...

Outside my window... faint moonlight at 12:40 a.m.

I am thinking... I wish the washer would hurry up and get the towels washed so I can go to bed

From the learning room... we're hitting the books hard this week.  We had four days of unscheduled time off last week due to our dear friends Troy and Rhonda coming for a wonderful visit.  This will be our last week for CBS Bible study this school year.  Lauren will be giving her speech on Amy Carmichael at worldview class this week.  Five and a half weeks until we're out for summer break---the kids' break that is, I'll start reading some of next year's school books then.  I never make it through them all, but I like to read the new ones, especially history.

I am thankful for... my dear sweet husband  ... thank you Lord!

From the kitchen... for tonight---homemade potato soup with cornbread

I am wearing... jeans, black t-shirt

I am reading... Honey for a Teen's Heart by Gladys M. Hunt and Barbara Hampton

I am hoping... my mom is able to leave the hospital today.

I am creating... my two week menu and grocery list---shopping day is Thursday

I am hearing... crickets

Around the house... our chicken coop is ready---now it's time to order the baby chicks!

One of my favorite things... seeing my children enjoying each other's company

A few plans for the rest of the week... school, hopefully pick my mom up from the hospital, CBS Sharing Day, Worldview class, grocery shopping, continue working on landscaping around the front of the house (weather permitting)
