Mara Aure, my friends! (Thank you Uruviel, for your knowledge of Elvish!)
Well, I decided to share with you the meaning of my blog title, because it does have a meaning, and, no, I didn't make it up!
Sing me to Heaven is the title of a song, actually, which I first heard when I was 10, and have been drawn to ever since. I especially love music with a sense of mystery and longing, plus a gorgeous melody line! This song is such a piece of music. I love everything about it; the music itself, the lyrics, the title... I could go on about it for paragraphs, but I think it's best to let you judge for yourself. Here is a banner I found with some of the lyrics. I put it on my sidebar, but you can't exactly read the words, it's so small. So here it is, bigger!
If you would comfort me, sing me a lullaby.
If you would win my heart, sing me a love song.
If you would mourn me and bring me to God, sing me a requiem,
Sing me to heaven.
I believe it may be sung by somebody dying, but that's not the point, since we're not trying to be practical! ;-) The lyrics are still lovely. Anyway, it's an absolutely beautiful song. Here's a recording of it, sung by a very good choir. I encourage you to listen to it and enjoy this piece as I have!
EDIT: I had to remove the embedded video because it made my page look horrible on Firefox. If anyone has any tips on how to embed YouTube vids with Firefox, please let me know! Thanks.
2.Least favorite color: Well, probably burnt orange. I have nothing against the Longhorns, mind you. Although my dad went to A&M.
3.Color of pants: This is a strange question. Are you asking what color I prefer pants to be, or what color my pants are, or what color all pants are in general?
4.Color of shirt: Another strange question. My current shirt has pink and green stripes, if you really want to know.
5.Color of favorite CD: The lable is gold and the bottom is silver.
6.Color of dream car: I'd be happy to drive our blue van, thanks.
7.Color that you want your mom to dye her hair: Well, I would prefer my mom's hair to stay living.
8.Color of computer: Black and silver.
9.Color of best friends brother's eyes: I'm sorry. I really don't notice such things. My baby brother's eyes are blue, and I guess my sisters are my best friends!
10.Color of dream pet: I don't dream of having any particular pet. So sorry.
11.Color of phone/ipod: My phone/ipod is nonexistent.
12.Color of the last thing you ate: Brown. Chocolate ice cream!
13.Find what color you answered with the most: Blue
EDIT: Rats, I forgot to tag people. I tag... everyone who has freckles.

That song is incredibly beautiful. I love the harmonies, they're just lovely. I love choir music like this, both my Mum and Dad used to do it before they had kids, so I've grown up with them singing it, and it's in my blood. Beautiful song though.
Haha, that tag has been doing the rounds lately, in it's various versions. It's extremely random, isn't it? At least your version is spellchecked, which it hasn't been for ages. One of my friends got it with the question: Color of dream zebra. I mean, seriously, dream zebra? Some tags get pretty ludicrous...
*gasp*
What? Everyone with freckles? But- but- you aren't allowed to do that! It's discrimination! No fair. I refuse to do such a silly tag... *trails off into indeciferable wailing*
Well, I didn't actually say you were PoeticMaiden's equal. I mean, PoeticMaiden level is simply unatainable for us poor mortals. It was a great try, but... well, there's no shame in being inferior when you have that sort of level to live up to.
Ok, ok, I'm kidding. I really enjoyed your poems, especially the favourite things one. It was very cool.
Yes, I agree, everyone should know about New Zealand. It should be part of the compulsory school curriculum. It is over here you know, which is why our education system is so much better than yours. ;)
Ok, ignore what I say, I'm being rediculous.
The Botkins are indeed wonderful.
A long comment? Hehe... just you wait. Very soon I will begin to affect you, and then you will discover the true meaning of the words 'long comment'. Or you could simply check out my comment of Writer4him's blog... ;D
Yes, Vista is great. We had a bit of trouble with it on our laptop, as it need an enormous amount of memory to run properly. I really enjoy it though, and it looks so pretty!
Keep writing!

Yes, I am shy in real life, but not very shy on the blogosphere; mostly because you can think about what you're going to 'say' before you actually 'say' it. Very confusing, I know.
It would be so cool if Concert Choir sang Sing me to Heaven! It's a lovely song, and I can see why you like it!
It's a shame I don't have freckles... Well, not on my face at any rate.

That was really good! Good lyrics, good voice, great harmony, some things that we a really short of these days.
Actually, the greater part of the youth group is not involved in Bible Bowl. It's open to anyone who would like to study the book that we are doing. We are called the Bible Bowl Team, but actually, we are divided into teams of four by age group. There are five team divisions. Lowest grade there through 9th grade - Junior Inexperienced (we had two teams of four in that) and Junior Experienced (we had one team of four in that). 10th-12th grade - Senior Inexpericned (we had no team there) and Senior Experienced (one team of four). There are individual scores as well, and for that they add the Elementary Division for 5th grade and younger or thereabouts and the Adult Division. It's really very complex until you understand how the whole things works.

Thank you for the award. I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you earlier, but my authoress alter-identity loves to monopolize the computer. There she goes, laughing like a manic again. How she turns out anything sane when she writes is beyond me. :)

They did? I think it would sound so cool if Concert Choir sang it... Especially in that new church we went to last time!
Well, freckles would be nice, but I'm happy just the way I am! I'm already taller than my mom, and about 6-7 inches away from being as tall as my dad! hehe!
That picture is just fine! I like it!

Hey, just to let you know...
There's something wrong with your template. I can't read your latest post, because there is something else on top of it. It's a picture of a cross, and music lyrics...
Or was that purposeful?
~Nick
Oh yes, I added you too!

Really? I didn't know she took suggestions... That's nice of her!
My mom is only 5' 2" so when someone gets taller than her, she just says, "Well, that's not hard!"
No, I'm not doing the musical this summer... And I didn't go to the screening.... We had Melanie, Sarah, Felicity, and another friend of ours over instead! I prefer just acting, not acting & singing. In fact, sometimes I'll go into my room, shut the door, and start acting out the strangest plays-- with myself playing all the characters!

Okay, what is it with home-schoolers and Lord of the Rings?
Grace, I'm trying to remember, have you even watched the films or read the books? Why is it that all these home-school types are so "into" J.R.R. Tolkien? Why? Why? Why?
-Ugh. Maybe I should sign my name as "Darth" or "Vader" or maybe... "Chewbawcca".

Thanks! When I first started reading The Hobbit, I was considering making a template, but as I could not find any good headers, I didn't. So, I decided to make a LotR one when I began reading The Fellowship of the Ring! Anyways, I'm glad you like it!
I don't really like the one they chose either... I'm not really one for 'romantic comedies', but I think it will be fun to watch! (even if Josie's not in it! ;-)
Hoping to see you soon,

Hello Grace!! I am sorry I didn't come to see your blog sooner, we just got home from the Father/Daughter Retreat!
I have enjoyed getting to know you a little better by reading through some of your posts!
Hope to hear from you soon!

Grace is a 16 year old girl who is striving to follow God's leading, but would be constantly embracing failure if God didn't just sweep her off her feet, sometimes against her will. Music is her first love and expertise: specifically voice, but also piano. She has been trained classically, which is a good thing, most of the time, except when she wants to sing pop style... and can't. Her favorite genres of music are Celtic, Scottish and Irish folk songs/jigs, film music, and broadway show tunes. Grace also takes pleasure in the beautiful diversions of writing poetry, Ultimate Frisbee, sketching, dancing in the rain, Irish Step Dancing, speech and debate tournaments, scrapbooking, acting, reading, photography, standing outside at night while the wind whips the trees every which way, and talking about herself in the third person.
