Another multi-tasking post
Well, first of all I have to break to you that the next chapter is not finished. *sigh* I hope you don't forget what happened first... I am writing, really I am, but I must get it edited before I post it, because I don't want you to have to read something thrown together. I'm terribly sorry!
Aaaaaand, WE are going to MEXICO this week! I'm so excited, since I've never been out of the country before. Plus, we get to go with our church friends! We'll be there 9 days, doing outreach for the most part. I'd appreciate your prayers for safety, and open hearts for the people who hear our message. Anyhoo, I'll have no computer access for that time, but I'll be sure to tell you all about it when I get back! Hopefully with pictures!
~~~
I've been awarded the Blog Friend Forever Award by Renee and Hriste! Thank you!
I'll award it to.....
Rosethorn and CherrytheXIV!
~~~
Aaaaaaand I'm entering a contest hosted by The HSB Backyard. It's to win one of these neat T-shirts from The Homeschool Boutique!

Pretty fun, huh?
~~~
In order to give this post a bit more flair, I shall show you some pictures from this past week. My choir had a concert at the capitol on Friday, here we are in our full black-and-white glory! Actually, not quite so full, as we were missing several people.
Oh, here's my adorable baby brother! Isn't he precious?
After the concert, a picnic on the lawn was in order! It was actually a farewell party for our dear friends who are moving to Washington State! *cries* I'm going to miss y'all! This is dear Sarah, with Josie in the background, wearing the blue polo:
And Mellie, framed in foliage:
And these are my friends Kristin, Josie (again ;-), and myself performing an ensemble. We sang Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy by the Andrews sisters. It was an absolute hit! Boy, did we ever have an awesome time! You can see the Andrews sisters doing it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wiVkdVPGoY
So that's some of what's been going on with my busy choir life! Not a dull moment! I hope I can figure out how to post recordings of myself... then you can hear my latest solo!
I love the dresses the girls in the choir are wearing! They are beautiful!
Your characters will become your friends so long as you believe in the back of your mind that they are real. Of course, I am a odd sort of person who makes friendships with imaginary persons much easier than I make friendships in real life. It's kind of sad, actually.
I know what it's like not to have chapters ready. I have hardly worked on my next chapter at all, although that might be explained by the fact that my cousin and I want to make a movie, and I am co-director, script writer, costume designer, costume maker, and I have to help with coreography and site choosing. *pant, pant, pant* It threatens to take up a great deal of my time. Oh well, it was kind of my idea anyway....
Aww... thanks! :) I don't think I truly *deserve* an award, but it's nice to know that you think so. :P
Your baby brother is so cute!!
I'll miss you on your trip to Mexico. May God bless your efforts there.
Aww, your baby brother is totally so cute! I want one, lol!
RYC: Have you hard of Oprah's new religion? She is saying that God is inside of you, you are God. Man, how confused can you get? I think this is the best time to be counter cultural. Even then we are still conforming to someone and that is Christ!
God Bless,
Eric
I'll make sure to pray that the missions trip goes well. If you receive this upon coming back from Mexico, please realize that I have been praying for you during your trip.
Ah, finally, a picture of Sarah where she's not making a funny face! ;-)
The concert last night was lovely, but dinner was even more fun! Mmm... It was so good to see you!
RYC: Well, you passed it on, so I don't really need to reply to that part... =^)
Yes, Mrs. H. does give great awards! And they're always so funny... Speaking of awards, I was so surprised when Mrs. H. called up Emily for the Zachary I-forgot-his-last-name award! But Emily deserves it so much!
Page-turning was somewhat difficult... I was really nervous, because the whole choir and audience were relying on me to turn the page at the exact moment I was supposed to, or else the song would be ruined... 8^0 Luckily, I didn't mess up to horridly... ;-)
You did a good job on the clarinet part!
You had problems with your voice? I would've never guessed! You do have a lovely voice, I can see, no, hear why you're happy with it!
Aw, I'm sure you don't look horrid in burnt orange! Now me, that's a different story! ;-P
As for the last part of your comment... I saw you got your button up! I'll put it up right away!
Have a lovely day...
Your going to Mexico? What city? I've been there once (two years ago) so I'll warn you, lots of Mexicans live in poverty and can't even afford a good house! I sure hope you finish the next chapter before you leave though....
Lol! Well I'm not trying to be disappointing, I've had it like this for about a year (except for the header, anyway) so I think it needs a change.
AIEEEEEEEEEE!!! That is SO neat that you got to go to Mexico! My papa lived there for a while and he has told me a lot about it. It sounds like a beautiful country!
Wow, your choir is VERY large. At least compared to our Church's choirs.
Sorry I haven't commented in a while. : )
Right, so I finally added you to my favorites list. It's been really hard getting to use my own computer the past few months. I'll actually be getting a new one soon I hope. ;D Hope the mission trip is going well. Great pic of ACE!! He's got the cutest grin. I heard about his two new teeth. Well, talk to ya later!!
Hi Grace,
Hope your trip is going well! That's so fun that you sang the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy! My sisters and I like to get Andrews sisters CDs every now and then. The songs are just a lot of fun! ;-) (Of course, there's always some singing along....) What part did you sing? I'm guessing you sang Patty's part.... but, that's just a guess.
And your baby brother is very cute!
Hello, Grace!
It is really quite shameful how terribly I have neglected my friend's blogs...so here I am, to apologize for my long absence! I shall try to give you a proper comment when I have more time :-). For the present, I suppose I should point out for Altariel's benefit (she has badgered me for saying that I haven't met any HSB bloggers in real life) that I don't believe you and I have ever actually met, have we? I mean, you and Toni have, but...well, that's my defense, anyway. :-)
*looks pointedly at Altariel*
Oh! I was reading Ness's comment (she's a friend of mine, in RL)--so you two have met? How terribly funny!! I'm beginning to feel left out--living in the same state and all, we really ought to meet each other!
Well, I hope we can chat sometime, although I'll be out of town for the next two weeks. I should be online quite a bit, though.
Farewell!
~Beth
Is second soprano your normal part?
Looking forward to your post....
Greetings, my friend! My name is Grace. I'm a 16 year old girl who is continually striving to follow God's leading. I love music, especially singing, and I have a habit of spontaneously bursting into song wherever I may be, much to the amusement or bewilderment of my friends!
I love all things elegant and graceful and remnants of times forgotten. To quote the famous classical composer Franz Shubert: "It sometimes seems to me as if I did not belong to this world at all." Which is true; I belong to my Heavenly Father, and my true home is with Him! Besides all these things, you may be surprised that I also enjoy sports, especially Ultimate Frisbee!
May this blog be a blessing to all who visit.
