...of NCFCA! Haha. But yes, basically, this Regional tournament was amazingly wonderful. I enjoyed every minute of it… well, except perhaps the few times on the last day when I felt close to fainting out of exhaustion. :-0
Random points:
1. ARC (my speech/debate club) kids are SO awesome. I got these adorable notes in my encouragement box, and it was one of the sweetest highlights of the tourney. You dear girls wouldn’t mind if I posted one, would you?
“The Debater Story:
Once upon a time there was a beautiful debater named Grace. She wore a creamy white suit and lacy gloves. She was sweet to everyone and made cute little dresses out of paper. We love her.
Love, Kate”
2. I went 9:58 in my last speech round. *sigh of contentment*
3. I didn’t get dinner on Thursday, because I was too busy timing…Ok, and talking. But someone could’ve warned me! Yes, that was definitely a low point. *wink*
4. I don’t really like timing Team Policy Debate. In fact, I wrote a poem about it. I’ll post it eventually.
5. We sang!
6. We danced! (And I learned to polka!)
7. The piano was off-limits. Sadness.
8. I got tons of new quotes for my quote-book. Some of them are in the video blog below. Some are not: “I don’t care WHAT it is! I want it!” -Katy
9. I love my adopted siblings.*HUGS* I wish they didn’t all live miles away from me. That’s the defect of adopting your siblings. I miss them!
10. I love my club. 1-2-3-ARC! Y’all are seriously amazing.
11. (eleven points seems to be my trend.) I took 3 hours of video, and 143 pictures. And I’m so glad I did. You can see some of the video below, and more of it if you go to my YouTube channel. All my pictures are on Picasa, so email me if you want them. Slideshow coming soon. As soon as I upload it to YouTube.
Wow, that sounds like a ton of fun! :) But..:gasp:..you danced?? You lucky girl! Ah, the polka is so much fun, espcially when danced to The High King's "The Little Beggerman" or "Marie's Wedding". heehee ;)

*gasp* I just watched the video again and saw Aaron and William! Those boys have a long way to go if they want to achieve "Thomas beat
boxing" status.
You mean JoshU? See, I didn't really know them from CCSA... so I guess I didn't realize you knew them.
I agree with the beatboxing comment, but after all, Thomas-level is pretty hard to achieve!
I wish you were down here, Josie. I miss y'all so much. It's been almost a year since you moved, and although I have a wonderful time with everyone still, I really miss you, and I hope I can see you again soon. (pssst.. what about the possibility of y'all coming down?)
Awww, How sweet! Yes, sometimes it is kind of boring when you're gone, but that's just because you're such an amazing and wonderful sister. I love it when you call me though! Then I get to hear about everything that's going on, and it's not so boring! Also, when you go places, you meet tons of friends that I get to meet and be friends with sometimes! :) Maybe next year I will compete, and then I can go with you! That would be fun!=) Thanks for being such a great sister, too!
Love you tons, Emily

We know the U's from South Angel/Children's choir. I think Josh is in Men's choir now. Or at least at that level age/ability-wise.
We're working on it. The end of November is looking pretty good and Mom and Melanie were looking at a possible trip later this summer. It's still in the thinking phase, though, so please don't get your hopes up too high! I've got to work really hard this summer to pay for college.
Hi Grace,
I really felt bad that I hadn't done anything to my blog in so long so I took the chance to post even though nothing especially amazing happened;-)
I love to ramble but I'm afraid your the only one who reads it. Well I'm glad you liked it because I liked writing it. I can't wait to see you at graduation.

That's wonderful that you are into debating. I've always thought it'd be cool to debate...

That is one awesome video. I can't wait to do a video blog for Nationals...it's going to be so sad, though, not having everyone there!
For some reason, I found myself thinking about our venture into the chocolate store at the mall before regionals... *giggle* And then I started missing you. And now, I'm hoping I'll be seeing you on Saturday! *looks hopeful*

Wow. That's very, very pretty. And it does indeed look like you have a lot of spare time on your hands. *grin* I would poke about spending more of it blogging, but I'm hardly one to talk so I shan't mention it. Beyond what I already have.
It's been simply forever since I've been about here, which is almost purely my fault, of course. We need to catch up.
I see the actressy drawl seems to be fading... does that mean the acting bug has found another victim? Or is debating taking up all your time these days? Well, maybe not all your time... but maybe you've decided to talk like a debater instead? As in... well, how do they talk? I actually have no idea, but it seems they should have a dialect of their own.
Speaking of which, your tournament post... well, I spent half an hour on dial-up loading the video, and it was well worth it. It all looked so much fun... *grin*
Gah. Y'all sound like you've been having such good times together, and it all makes me feel so lonely and forlorn here at the bottom of the world... *sniffs* It all sounds like a completely awesome experience, and I am glad you're enjoying it. *grin*
Especially since I cannot understand how you manage living in those awful suits. I mean, they look so horribly stiff and hot and formal and uncomfortable... they look like you could hardly move in them. Like astronaut suits or something. Well, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but still. Why do they make y'all wear suits??? I think they would kill me, personally... *hopes she never, ever has to torture herself with any such ghastly clothing*
Anyhow, I am rambling on and will do so forever until I check myself. I missed you and your blog, as well as your dramas on my chat box. *grin*

@ Josie and Grace: Assuming y'all are talking about Josh Upham, I'll tell you what I know, since I've been seeing a lot of him lately. Josh is 13, and currently Winthrop in Music Man this year! He's doing a FANTASTIC job. I love how the braces add to the whole deal...
Sounds like fun Grace!

Grace is a 16 year old girl who is continually striving to follow God's leading, but would be constantly embracing failure if God didn't just sweep her off her feet, sometimes against her will. Music is her first love and expertise: specifically voice, but also piano. She has been trained classically, which is a good thing, most of the time, except when she wants to sing pop style... and can't. Her favorite genres of music are Scottish and Irish folk songs/jigs, and film music. Grace also takes pleasure in the beautiful diversions of writing poetry, Ultimate Frisbee, sketching, dancing in the rain, Irish Step Dancing, speech and debate tournaments, scrapbooking, acting, reading, photography, standing outside at night while the wind whips the trees every which way, owning a cellphone, and talking about herself in the third person.
