^HSBers' reaction. Before you start berating me for disloyalty and all that, just be aware that, if I move, you'll be able to access my blog by clicking on the same link. So there. (At least, you'll be able to access it by the same link if I can figure out how to re-direct. But I can do that! I think.)
I've observed from my experience that Wordpress is just way more efficient. And more diverse.
The main barrier keeping me from making the plunge is... time. The everlasting curse and blessing. I really have no idea how to set up a WP, so it will probably take considerable effort. Thus, even when I decide to move, it may be a while. I'd like your comments, though! Especially those Wordpress bloggers who know their stuff. I will need your help, Beth M. =)

But wait! HSB is moving to a Wordpress platform...someday! I know that it's taking forever to get here, but perseverance is a virtue, right? Or is is, patience? Or...well, you get the picture!
Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

Yayness!
I don't have a blog, so I can't really say Wordpress is better or worse than HSB, but if you're interested in reader preference... :-?
I like the Wordpress format better. From what I've seen, it does appear to be more efficient.
Feel free to ignore my and my "visitor" advice. I am still ignorant of the internal workings... :-/
Maybe Benjc has something to say...

No no no no no no no! Please do NOT move to Wordpress!! I have three reasons for saying this:
1. I absolutely hate it when people move away from HSB.
2. Like Eyebright said, HSB is going to be revamped soon... a lot like Wordpress.
3. As far as I understand, it is now against HSB's terms of use to use your blog to redirect to another website. See this post: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/HSBCompanyBlog/729904/. At least that's my understanding of legal talk. :D
Please, please please stay!! I mean, I just started reading your blog recently... *sigh*

Blast. Weeeeel, I guess I'd have to simply post a link. We'll see what happens.
Thanks for your offer to help, Bethy! I'll probably pummel you with questions. ;-)

Hey, blogging at WP doesn't mean abandoning HSB. Friends are friends regardless of blog host. ;)
*applauds Grace's decision while avoiding the rotten tomatoes hurled by HSBers*

Wordpress is the best, in my opinion.
Very easy to set up, I'm sure your dad could have it up and running in 10 minutes.
Just a warning, make sure Paul has nothing to do with it, for reasons I can't explain here (ask him for an explanation :) :) ).

As Nathan said, we could get the basic running in a few minutes - template experiments, plug-ins, etc. would be extra. For $10 a year, you can get your own domain name as well. Get good at it and we can partner in a handy business doing sites for others.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't leave us, grace! PLEASE???????? I mean, whats wrong with HSB? As any good team policy debater would point out...there has got to be a reason. You don't just go and do things simply because- er, you want to. You have to have a POINT. If there is...I deserve the right to be informed IMIDIETLY. If there isn't, well... don't move!!!!!!!

HSB drives me nuts... WP is amazing! It might not be the easiest in the world to use. But from what I can tell, you could handle it no problem. I say- if you find the time go for it!

I would move to WP asap - they are just better. :)
Grace is a 16 year old girl who is striving to follow God's leading, but would be constantly embracing failure if God didn't just sweep her off her feet, sometimes against her will. Music is her first love and expertise: specifically voice, but also piano. She has been trained classically, which is a good thing, most of the time, except when she wants to sing pop style... and can't. Her favorite genres of music are Celtic, Scottish and Irish folk songs/jigs, film music, and broadway show tunes. Grace also takes pleasure in the beautiful diversions of writing poetry, Ultimate Frisbee, sketching, dancing in the rain, Irish Step Dancing, speech and debate tournaments, scrapbooking, acting, reading, photography, standing outside at night while the wind whips the trees every which way, and talking about herself in the third person.
