Apr. 25, 2008 - Funny Dreams
Last Friday I judged try-outs for a local high school cheerleading squad. I used to do this every spring, almost weekly. However, it has been a couple of years since I've been able to judge. I guess remembering the nervousness and stress of those girls caused me to dream that I was trying out. Oh the horror!!
I was completely unprepared. I didn't know the words to the cheers, not to mention the motions. The judges allowed me to look at the words, but I had to come up with my own motions on the spot.
Aren't dreams funny! Once I dreamed that I couldn't find my classes at school because I didn't have my schedule. And finding childcare for my kids while at school was diffucult too.
Have you ever dreamed your teeth were crumbling out of your mouth? You wake up and put your hands to your mouth to make sure they are still there.
What about the never ending wad of bubble gum? I've dreamed that I'm trying to get the gum out of my mouth but it just keeps coming and coming. EEEEEWWWW!
Wonder what the psych books say about me?

I have reoccuring dreams of both - my teeth and the bubble gum nightmare! What is with that??? Yes, I wake up and I am literally saying, "Sheish! It was just a dream (again!) and thank you Lord that it is not real." ~~~~ weird~~~~

LOL I have never experienced those kinds of dreams but it sure must make for some interesting 'dream studies!'
I wonder if your sister's kids school scheduled this make up day on purpose, would be interesting to know. Either way, I'm glad that they wont have to open up those wormed cans just yet.

It's so funny what different dreams people have! I always have one where I am being chased and chased and chased all night long. By who or what I am not sure, I am just running from something. I'm sure a shrink would have a lot to say about that ;o)

Yes! I've had the dream that my teeth are all crumbling or rotten in my mouth! What is that all about?! LoL! I also had the dreams about not getting to one of my college classes on time or forgetting that I had a class all semester and remembered at the time of finals! Does this mean I am a procrastinator or irresponsible? What does it all mean? LoL! Too funny! Thanks for the grins! BLessings, Julie

I remember cheerleading try-outs...my friend and I tried out together and ran opposite ways during one of our cheers, bumping in to each other and sending each other to the ground. How we both made the squad I will never know! (Thank God I don't dream about that!)

Oh my! No I've never had those two, but I often dream I'm falling and wake up feeling as if I've landed on the bed. I read somewhere it's related to some old unused instinct to keep babies from falling. I guess I'm just a big baby! 8) So, when you have your dream about your teeth, do you brush and floss like crazy for a few days?

LOL, I've never had any of those dreams - usually mine involve trying to get somewhere and it's like I'm always in slow motion or that my feet are heavy and I can hardly move. I usually have frustrating dreams - whatever that means.

Hey! We studied dreams some in college and the teeth dream is very common but I can't remember what the interpretation of it was...I'll have to check that out. I used to have this dream that I'm sitting at my school desk and suddenly realize that my feet are completely bare and I feel so horrified in my dream about it. I still had the dream after graduating college. Do you fly or float in your dreams? Every time I'm running from something/someone scary, I begin to float/fly away. That must have something to do with the way I handle stress??
