After writing this post, I noticed that Heart of the Matter was hosting an organizational meme. If you want to see other posts about decluttering and cleaning, go here.
My older boys have a chore list that I keep in a page protector on our refrigerator. They use a dry erase marker to check the list daily. At the top it says- to be done before screen time. This means before computer, TV, or game systems. On Saturday I am a little more lenient about the time it gets done, but other days it is done when their feet hit the floor.

While they are working through their chores, I help the little guys with their "chore list". It mainly consists of baisic, morning, getting ready duties. I took pictures of each of them performing the tasks and posted it on the refrigerator as well. This is Julia's --

Eat Breakfast - Change Clothes - Make Bed - Brush Teeth - Put Toys Away - Brush Hair -- Not always in that order.
This is our morning routine. During the day it may be necessary to tackle an area again, or we may find other areas that need work. And there is always the "Daddy's on his way home! Quick clean up!"
This is what works for me.
