Veggies

1.  Go to the garden and get your veggies for dinner.

2.  Go to the market and get some local farmer's veggies for dinner.

3.  Go to the grocery store and get some foriegn farmer's veggies for dinner.

4.  Go to the grocery store and get some canned veggies from a factory for dinner.

5.  Go to the grocery store and skip the veggies for something all-in-one that's fast.

6.  Go to a restaurant and let someone else do all the work.  What veggies?

-  I have fallen to number 6.    I would love to be at 1 or 2, even 3, but I can't seem to get there and stay there.  It is so frustrating!

-  So, I'm climbing back on the wagon today! (is that a correct cliche` for this?)

-  I will know before lunch time what I'm having for dinner!

-  I will resist the urge to spend my husbands hard earned money in restaurants except previously agreed upon terms.

-  I will pray daily for the desire to prepare healthy meals for my family.

-  I will ask my bloggy friends to pray for me too.

Corey

You will do wonderfully!! I buy the frozen steamable veggies. You throw them in the microwave!! How easy is that? I love it.
We've been eating alot of fast food also-mostly because we've only had Subway and McDonalds for the past three years in Japan. Totally enjoying Wendy's and Chick Fil A. I've even had some "adult" food with a few friends. I did joke with them when we met at the restaurant that because I was kidless, I'd have to cut up their food for them!! hehe
Sending the girls your way!! hehe

You can do it! Everyone falls off the wagon at some point. Don't worry about it. Just climb back on!

Hey #3 wouldn't be so bad either. Although #1 is awfully nice (actually) when we make it there. I will pray for you. But, hey, keep plugging away - no matter how many times we fail, if we keep at it, well, the better we will be doing :).

Pray for me in this coming season too. For the last two years I've so wanted to make up canned spaghetti sauce - and I've gotten to that point of the summer and I give up (it's like a two week window here - but this year I'll have a small greenhouse, so maybe I'll have a bigger window to harvest those tomatoes).

its Sherry (abbycamlars). I also follow little Noahs progress and I think that is so great that you were able to be a blessing to them. I'll be back blogging before long. Take care, Sherry

Hey I understand taking the more convenient route and sometimes it does help our sanity :-).
Are you going to be planting a garden this spring? It's amazing how much the kids enjoy picking veggies and just a few plants really go a long way.
I'm really impressed with your sewing abilities and hey, you're saving money in the clothes dept.
Have a great weekend, Julie

It's always a battle, isn't it. I have a monthly menu, and I still get bored at times, but now I'm back on my diet, so I have to eat well with lots of veggies. I'm not a huge veggie lover, but I do love stir fry.

Hi Corey,
I completely understand where you're coming from. I, too, would so much rather eat out. Let me rephrase that, I don't enjoy being in the kitchen and am not very creative when it comes to making meals...especially dinner, so eating out is easier...and so NOT God's will for us. So, I'm trying and praying that this will change too. I will be praying for you as well.
