Questions

--  I don't mean this to sound flippant, but do you ever wish you could e-mail God with your Questions?  I know the ultimate book of answers is the Bible.  Sometimes though, it would be nice for a more specific question to be answered - maybe written on a blog

--  Pray with us for wisdom in decision making.

A very good friend once taught me to follow my peace. That has served me very well. It takes all the thinking I do inside my head away. I think of where my peace leads me. Where do I feel peaceful? Not content or comfortable but peaceful. She also taught me that I have a choice to spend lots of emotional energy on a decision or not. Sometimes we waste a lot of energy on decisions when we could follow our peace (our hearts) and ask God to block the decision if it is not his will.
I have passed this wisdom along to others since I've been taught it. And I still have to be reminded often to follow it.

When I had surgery on my foot I began to go through all the "what ifs". I called my friend and talked for a while and she said, "Julie, just have the surgery. That is what is best for your family....for you to heal as quickly as possible. And when I hear you talk I can hear that your peace is in having the surgery. Don't doubt yourself. Follow that leading."

And she was exactly right.
After 2 weeks of baby girl having a cast, her arm not setting and then having to have surgery, I knew waiting was not what I wanted to do. I wanted it fixed so the healing could begin and I could proceed with getting well. I knew from the Dr. that the recovery time was the same either way.
So I had the surgery. I'm glad I did. I know my bone is set and is healing. One day I'll have to have the plate taken out. So it wasn't necessarily the easiest or cheapest road to take but it was where my peace was.

Okay......that's a lot of talking. Hope this helps in your decision making process.
I just know when I make a decision, following my peace and ask God to block it if it's not his will I take it all out of my hands and put it at the foot of the cross.
Then I rest.
He's good like that!
