Homemade Ice Cream!

We made homemade ice cream without an ice cream maker. (I didn’t know it could be done!) We also studied a bunch of information about the science of ice cream. This was something different for us, and it tasted great! I used a section of the June/July Monthly Book Bag from Teacher Book Bag to get the recipe, worksheets, and information.

How neat! We make ours in our ice cream maker but I didn't realize you could do it without that. We might have to try this!

salty ice cream yuck! I'll have to remember that. The only bad thing about making ice cream is that I tend to eat it all!

Yes, as I mentioned, you just have to double the inside bag so the salt can't sneak in there. Or, maybe my ziplocs were too cheap, lol! Either way, the finished product when done with the bag doubled, was really good :-)
