A blog revived and tissues anyone?
Mommy Brain Moment:
This poor blog has never gotten off the ground really, but it's a new year and I've decided to breath some life into it once again. I'll mostly be writing about our homeschooling misadventures, and any random thoughts that strike me. Like this one...
I woke up feeling pretty miserable this morning, but I was determined to have our school day before the scheduled field trip in the afternoon (more about that over on My Meandering Mind). I got through the spelling test with Koala Bear easily and moved on to her older two sisters. Halfway through, the flood gates in my nostrils opened and I motioned for someone to "run grab a tissue quick".
I should mention I have sensitive skin and almost always end up with an embarrassing and UGLY sore under my nose when I get a cold. I've been on a life-long quest for super soft tissues. Some search for gold, I just want a soft puff.
Artistic Flare came to my rescue and I quickly wiped my nose with the most incredibly SOFT tissue EVER! WOW. I'd struck it rich. My nose would never suffer again. I looked at this tissue of tissues with the cute little designs which look strangely like the ones on our baby wipes; you know those soft-for-the-sensitive-baby-bum baby wipes.
I arched an eyebrow and asked where she got it fearing the answer. It looked clean. Sniff. Smells clean. Gotta be clean, right?
Apparently, Little Miss Princess thought it would be fun to stuff her clean baby wipes in the tissue box. My thoughts? Let's stuff some more in there, so I have a supply on hand. I've finally found my soft tissues.

A New Home
Mommy Brain Moment:
I decided to open a new home here on Homeschool Blogger. One that better suited my personality. My husband actually came up with Six Short of a Dozen for his blog, but then he changed it to reflect his blog better and I swiped it for myself (with his blessing of course). Don't ask me what I'll do if baby number seven comes along. 
Seriously, I love homeschooling my kids um most days, but on those days when life gets crazy and I feel like weeping, well, usually I got myself into that mess all by myself. Thank you, Lord, for pulling me back to sanity each and every time (read that saving me from my silly mess).
I'd like this blog to bless others and maybe make you smile on 'one of those days'. You'll meet authors from time to time who have either homeschooled or have been homeschooled, hear about my latest mommy brain moment (good and bad and quite possibly ugly), and hopefully glean wisdom or at the very least, a good laugh.

A Little About Me...
I’m married to an amazing man (who finds me entertaining though I’m not sure what he means by that), and a mama of six. I suffer frequent 'mommy brain' moments - but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
We also have six fur babies: two standard poodle, Harley and Davey, and four kitties: Jo Jo. Oncilla (Onci), Nougat (looks like the candy) and my baby, Lady Muse.
I’m a Jesus lovin', home schoolin' (who teaches who around here?), camera wieldin', music listenin', dance wigglin', novel readin', prose writin' kinda gal.
