Well I have blogged many times on myspace, but this is a nice resource to just to have for homeschooling stuff. My boys are almost 6, almost 4, and just turned 2. I am 26, young mommy, yes I know, and I'm over it. I made the choice to homeschool after feeling my son wasn't ready for preschool, by the time that I thought he was, we had been having so much fun together with me getting him ready for preschool that I kept him home. I couldn't imagine not having him here everyday, that may be selfish, but it is what it is. He is an amazing little boy with a sweet loving personality, and his wicked side as well. My other two are equally as adorable too and seem to like learning as much as he does.
As for are we doing this for religous reasons, the answer is sort of. . We don't go to church, but that does not mean that we don't have a strong faith. We do, I do want to be able to teach them certain things that they will not be allowed to learn in school. However, the main reason is that I want him to learn the basics as well as the things he is interested in learning. It's going well. We're doing the rainforest right now, he loves animals. Also we are doing the bean growing project, he hopes the grow so he can plant them in our garden this spring.
I guess that's it for now. When I figured out how, I'll post some pictures of our Kapok tree we're doing on the wall. It's really neat :) |
