What Has Happened to Spring?

Well, we thought spring had sprung a few weeks ago when the weather warmed up and buds started appearing and the grass began to turn green. Day Lillies began to peek through the ground and the fruit trees began to flower. But it seems all that has changed as it has been soooooo cold lately. My youngest son is annoyed that all the flower buds have frozen and that he cannot play outdoors as much as he'd like. He was annoyed that he had to hunt Easter eggs in the cold. He was annoyed that we will not be sleeping in the camper in the yard (because this mother is a fair-weather camper). He keeps reminding me that it feels more like November than April, which I agree, but what I always ask him is, what can we do about the weather? God is in control of the weather, and when we make complaints about the weather, we are essentially telling God He made a mistake in making it cooler out than it normally is this time of year. Now, I also have to keep reminding myself of this very same thing as I would much prefer the warm air and sunshine, to the cold, drab, dreary, and rainy days we've been having. Maybe tomorrow the sun will shine, and the air warm up, and the spring will finally come to stay. I guess till then, we'll have to keep the winter jackets out and keep remembering that some time in mid-July we'll be wishing for cooler weather! My, aren't we fickle!
