Happy Lord's Day!

It's hard to believe that it's Sunday already. It seems the days and weeks fly by anymore. I have cinnamon rolls that I need to get in the oven for breakfast, but thought I would jot down a few things here first. I feel extra tired this morning, and still working on my first cup of coffee, but I am looking forward to the refreshment of going to church and being refreshed by the brethren.

There is nothing like other Christian friends to refresh and encourage one's spirit. There is nothing like sitting under the teaching of Godly men and being taught the eternal Word of God. There is nothing like sisters in Christ whose simple smile or cheerful hello can warm your soul. There is nothing like rich music to lift the spirit and help one's mind to focus on God and God alone.

If you don't go to a good, solid Bible teaching church, my friend, you don't know what you are missing! God says "not to forsake the assembling together", and there is a reason for that. Christian friends, (which in reality are our spiritual family) are just as important and necessary as our physical family. We need one another! When you choose to take yourself out of the local church, or neglect church attendance "just because it's not convenient" or you want to sleep in, or just plain lack of self-discipline, you are depriving others and yourself of blessings that go beyond all comprehension! You are missing out, and other believers are missing out on your ministry in their life as well.

Well, it is time for me to get those rolls in the oven, and get my second cup of coffee before the rest of the crew gets moving.
