May Flowers

Good Morning!

It's been awhile since I've written anything.  Just been too much going on to sit down here and compose anything worth reading.

School is winding down.  Today is the last day of AWANA, and next week will be awards night.  The year has swept by far too quickly!  I am so happy for the chance to work with my son's Sparky class this past year.  There is no greater blessing and joy than to watch little people hide God's Word in their heart.  What a joy!

My first grader lost a baby tooth last week.  He is just so cute with that little hole in the middle.  This is my last one--the baby--losing his baby teeth.  He is growing up so quickly, and I feel so privileged to be able watch him from day-to-day.  I find it sad that many send their young children off to school and miss the greatest blessings of the day-to-day adventures and routines.

This same first grader has been so intrigued by flowers.  He picks "flowers" for me every day of one sort or another.  Some are weeds, but to him, they are flowers.  Joyfully he brings them to me several times throughout the day grinning from ear to ear, and with such a twinkle in his eye that would warm even the coldest of hearts.  How can I resist dandelions from such a cutie?  It seems wherever we are, this boy of mine notices flowers and is the first to point them out to me.  "Momma, look at these!", he enthusiastically calls, and we have to stop whatever we're doing, wherever we're at to look and smell the flowers.  How precious that is.

We're going to get outdoors today and enjoy the May flowers--and I hope you'll be able to do the same.  Have a blessed day!
