My 7 yr. old and I made edible playdough while his two older siblings were taking the Iowa Test of Basic Skills through our local home school group.  If you have never made and ate edible playdough, you've got to try it some time!  It's messy and sticky, but he loved mixing it and eating it up!  It's real easy that he did most of it himself:  mix 1 c. honey and 1 c. creamy peanut butter, then add 1 1/2 c. of powdered milk and keep adding up to 2 1/4 c. till it's the desired consistency to use like playdough.  Have the child knead it and mix it together well.  Then let 'em play with and eat it for a snack!

Also on the agenda today is a picnic lunch at a local park with a lake.  After consuming our sandwiches of turkey and cheese, we're planning on taking a stroll around the lake (about a mile), and just soaking up the sunshine on this beautiful spring day!
