First Day of VBS!

Today was the first day of Vacation Bible School. The children loved it! The older boys served and helped out in various ways while the two youngest enjoyed the games, crafts, music, Bible stories and snacks. It was a great day and something the boys look forward to every summer.

My brother was transferred to another hospital in town--a rehabilitation hospital, which will hopefully get him weaned off the ventilator soon. Please continue to keep him in prayer. He still has a lot of recovery yet ahead of him, but thankfully, he seems to be on the mend. Hallelujah!

VBS put me a little behind this a.m., but I did manage to get some laundry done. That is always a good feeling to have a few loads of laundry done and hung out to dry before leaving for VBS. Then when we came home, the clothes were dry and ready to be folded.

Our weather was HOT today, and it is suppose to be all this week. But it is great to have A/C and to be able to get relief from the heat. I can remember growing up WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING! And I'll bet some of you have experienced that too. But then again, we didn't KNOW any different--that was just the way it was! I'm just thankful we had it today!

Time for me to go to bed...I have another EARLY and BUSY day tomorrow. with VBS...G'nite!
