Our first lapbook w/pics

We started last week studying about God's Creation and decided to put everything into a lapbook.  Please remember that this is our first one!  I'm sure we'll get better as we go!  I need to learn some more techniques, but didn't want that to hold us off from putting this one together.  Some of the pics are a little blurry, but I wanted to try to show you all of it, so please bear with me!

FRONT COVER

Fastener is buttons with yarn wrapped around them

LEFT FLAP (TOP)

Coded memory verse game

LEFT FLAP (BOTTOM)

Matching game that I made where he matches the picture to the day it was created

RIGHT FLAP (TOP)

Small flap book with days and what was created on that day for "at a glance" reference.

RIGHT FLAP (BOTTOM)

Each word of his memory verse is on a separate card and he puts them in the right order.

MIDDLE SECTION

A book he made complete with illustrations - so cute!

BACK COVER

His first piece of copywork!  This was the memory verse for the week.

This was so much fun to make.  I can't wait to make more and share them with you!  If you have any suggestions on how I could have done it better or any other ideas, I would LOVE to hear them!  I welcome constructive criticism!

i loved the lapbook!! What a creative idea and a great way to learn and keep reviewing! I might have to give that a try! I loved all the games and ideas in it as well.
About dinner, i did really well. Thanks for the great tips. As soon as my plate came I divided everything in half and only ate half of the dinner. I brought it home thinking I'd be able to enjoy it the next day, but my husband ate it instead! (It was good). So, I am doing well in the eating department. I feel like once I get past the first few days I have an easier time saying "no" to the food.
How are you feeling? Isn't it getting close to the time to meet that new little girl? Talk to you soon.
