Woo Hoo! It's county fair time! I'm so excited, this is my favorite time of the whole year here in Utah. We LOVE to go to the livestock auctions, the rodeos, and the Dutch Oven cook-offs. Plus...it's free!
Today, I'm taking the kids with some friends of ours. I'm going to try very hard to not eat lunch there, that would just totally negate any workouts I've done in that past 3 days I'm sure! Besides, I have to save the calories for the yummy samples from the cook-offs tomorrow!
So that's how we'll be spending our weekend! Fun!
DD woke up early this morning. She's been teething and having a hard time with it. She had been sleeping pretty much through the night for about 6 weeks, but the last few nights have been difficult. She's been up 2 or 3 times from 10 pm to 6 am. Poor thing, I can tell her little mouth hurts. She's having a hard time nursing, too. She latches on and then pulls off crying, then tries to latch on again, only to pull off crying again. It's frustrating for me because I know she's hungry and my already limited supply is tapering off due to lack of stimulation. I can't pump, so I rely on her totally.
I ended up feeding her a little rice cereal last night and she did surprisingly well with it! She's still a week shy of 4 months, so I was reluctant to start already, but she's been trying to grab food off of our plates for about a week now! She only ate about 1/2 a tablespoon, and she made the cutest funny faces the whole time! I imagine that stuff tastes pretty bland...not that she has anything better to compare it with at this point!
Gotta run...the fair's calling my name!

Aug. 26, 2006 - Hi
Our State Fair started yesterday, not sure if we'll make it, it's so far from free...
Hang in there, and make sure you're drinking tons of fluids... you've done great to nurse this long, she's off to a wonderful start!
Have a good one,
ali
