Are you all sick of me and my pictures yet?
Well, I have some more to post today. As part of my de-cluttering project, I decided to get rid of some of my son's artwork. As a mom, this is a very hard thing to do! I want to keep everything that he puts his efforts into! However, considering that he does about 10 new drawing every day, I just can't keep hundreds and hundreds of these papers. So, he and I sat down to tackle it together.
We chose about 50 of his best drawings (including some from each "stage" of his growth) and filed them neatly into a 3-ring binder. I did my best to indicate when they had been drawn.
Then, we did the unthinkable...we tossed the rest! I had a much harder time with this than I did, he was just fine with it!
Then, he decided that he ought to make some "special" drawings on cardstock to make up for all of those that we tossed. He spent the morning on these and I found some old frames to put them in. We made an art gallery in his room:

Can you tell he likes SpongeBob?

SpongeBob Mr. Crabs

Plankton and Patrick
One of the things that has saved me over the years from having 50 drawings a day has been a Fisher Price Doodle Pro. He carries it with him all day long and draws on it whenever he has a chance! This is actually his second one, he completely wore out his first!

This is a man looking in a mirror...pretty creative, huh?
He certainly didn't get his artistic ability from me!
