Are your kids studying Lewis and Clark, Countries of the World, US history from the Colonial era to the Great Depression? Are they interested in coins, or are they coin collectors? Then this site is for you! Your kids will have lots of fun while learning about history and money at the same time. My kids love to play on this site, and my eldest dd asks to play on it almost daily. Here is what you will find on this site: Cartoons Take animated trips through the world of currency including the "Birth of a Coin" and "Coins of the World". Time Machine Travel through history to solve coin mysteries. For example, when you enter this part of the site you will click on a year on the time line. If you click on 1778 you can help some Revolutionary War Soldiers track down a spy. Coin News Learn about coins past, present, and future. Camp Coin Here you can find coloring pages...information about all of the fun things on this site...learn about coin collecting...find activities, experiments and games you can make...learn how to turn coins into scouting badges, and more! Games There are more games on this site than I want to attempt to list in this blog, but I'll list a few to give an idea of what is available. Branches of Power Coin Memory Game The Lewis and Clark Adventure Presidential Portraits Quarter Explorer and so many more! There is even a Teachers area on this site that you may find helpful. I know your kids are going to love this site so click on the link below and don't forget to bookmark it in your favorites! U.S. Mint for Kids Blessings, Missy |
